Which brings me to say - I don't quite agree with Fanta's view either. I truly believe the FFs and other great lawgivers possessed a transcendental wisdom that basically no one today possesses.

By virtue of that, however, it is as impossible to speculate on how they would have handled the challenges of the present day as it is impractical to implement their ideas as if nothing changed.

This is assuming they would be displeased. They wouldn't be happy about the massive influence christianity has or the two party system and I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't be happy with one of the parties being quite literally bought by the ultra-rich.

I don't see why some people to have to choose between dying or living the rest of their life in poverty should even be a choice people have to make in a "first world" country, let alone that its supported by a hefty percent (read: more than 1) of the population.
