History is lore irl.

It is fascinating to contemplate the decisions and long chains of events in distant places and times that has brought us to this point.

A single chapter is like reading a random section of a 10,000-page-long Knaak novel. Except good.

Aestu of Bleeding Hollow...

Nihilism is a copout.

Talking about generals -

In middle school English my teacher brought up a military leader of some kind that was a fatalist (that was the word of the day), and he never bothered ducking bullets. There was a story where he was giving a command, the soldier he was issuing it to took a bullet and went down, and the fatalist guy just turned around and continued the order to another soldier.

Would like to know the fellows name, if anybody knows.

"Stonewall" Jackson, most likely. The man was very heavy in his faith and was said to not cower in the face of enemies, because he believed that God had already determined how he was going to die, and if it was from a bullet in battle, then there was no avoiding it.
