Not exactly sure when this happened, but this is a long sermon by Kent Hovind to a group of people talking about Evolution and why he thinks it's stupid. In the video, he talks about six different types of evolution and says that five of the six are stupid, and then makes his case why he believes that. "Religion of Evolution", is what he calls it... and I think that's key to remember if you choose to watch this video, as he's poking a stick in the eye of Evolutionists who call Creationists (who are completely based on belief) stupid. The spoiler is, at the time, and even now, neither side has a complete understanding of various theories behind evolution, the origin or life, or even the creation of the universe... yet both sides of the debate are quick to call the other side stupid for their respective beliefs. Most of us here (I think) are agnostic or atheist, so you'll most likely disagree with everything he has to say... and that's fine. He gives a disclaimer at the start of the video saying that he believes the Bible as being the word of a living God, and that he believes everything in it, so he's already establishing his bias so it's only fair that we do the same going into this.
To give an ounce of background on Kent... he allegedly has a Doctorates in something, taught some science classes to some kids for two decades, and apparently loves science. Listening to the guy you can tell he knows quite a bit about science (remember that this video is many years old... maybe over a decade or two old), but it's an interesting and fun, yet sometimes painful, glimpse into the views of someone who believes that the Earth is 6000 years old and that there was a period when humans lived to be 900 years old. He's now in prison for not paying his taxes.
So, call him stupid or say you agree with him... talk about his individual topics (like the painful 'geology' teacher who didn't think it's possible that the grand canyon was carved by the Colorado river)... or whatever else. There's a lot of good and a lot of bad in this video.
The spoiler is, at the time, and even now, neither side has a complete understanding of various theories behind evolution, the origin or life, or even the creation of the universe...
Arguments that appeal to ignorance rely merely on the fact that the veracity of the proposition is not disproven to arrive at a definite conclusion. These arguments fail to appreciate that the limits of one's understanding or certainty do not change what is true.
Having completely destroyed any and all arguments regarding the fallacy of the historical fact of evolution, let us now discuss a more interesting debate: Round Earthers vs. Flat Earthers, with the latter pointing out numerous logical inconsistencies and fallacies in the Round Earth theory.

Very interesting scientific literature by real scientists. Worth reading.

In mathematical physics, a closed timelike curve (CTC) is a worldline in a Lorentzian manifold, of a material particle in spacetime that is "closed," returning to its starting point. This possibility was first raised by Kurt Gödel in 1949, who discovered a solution to the equations of general relativity (GR) allowing CTCs known as the Gödel metric; and since then other GR solutions containing CTCs have been found, such as the Tipler cylinder and traversable wormholes.
If CTCs exist, their existence would seem to imply at least the theoretical possibility of time travel backwards in time, raising the spectre of the grandfather paradox, although the Novikov self-consistency principle seems to show that such paradoxes could be avoided. Some physicists speculate that the CTCs which appear in certain GR solutions might be ruled out by a future theory of quantum gravity which would replace GR, an idea which Stephen Hawking has labeled the chronology protection conjecture.
Others note that if every closed timelike curve in a given space-time passes through an event horizon, a property which can be called chronological censorship, then that space-time with event horizons excised would still be causally well behaved and an observer might not be able to detect the causal violation.

Religious stories aren't crazy talk. They can be very useful as moral lessons or studies in human nature. A lot of people easily lose sight of this and think religion is just a big mass of nonsense.
Biblical literalism, on the other hand, is crazy talk.
And it is largely because of biblical literalism (something that grows out of American ignorance) that people have completely forgotten the utility and value of religion.

That's another reason why he's stupid.

They're just as useful as Aesop or La Fontaine. But they come with so much stupid baggage.
Not to sound like an ass, but the bible really IS more like guidelines.
Tell that to people that literally believe Jesus came to Earth riding on a spaceraptor wielding lasers that all went extinct for our sins 2000 years ago.
I see the Torah and Bible as a collection of lore - people, places and situations that provide a frame of reference to life. Telling those stories in the form of a cycle and with quasi-historical characters makes them much more vivid and relevant.
Various libertarian types evade taxes claiming that they're protesting government waste or policies, or exercising their freedom. In reality they are merely greedy and self-serving (doubly so in the case of Eturnal who owes everything he has to taxpayer money).
Proof that tax evasion is yet another example of the basic greed that is the basis of American libertarianism is that it is not even effective at accomplishing its stated aims. History pretty consistently shows - and into the present day - that however bad things get for the people, however meager their contributions to the state, the state will manage to keep on trucking, by cutting back on civil investment and hoarding for the elite.
Go look at Syria or Iraq or North Korea or the USSR. How much remittance do you think they get from their starving people? There's always *just enough* to keep things going.
Hence the only logical reason to evade taxes is personal greed.
