You are a known liar.

Although what you are saying is probably literally true, under no condition would what you describe be useful to me.

Your sister in law does not read FUBU, and she would have no more interest in helping out anyone, (let alone someone she does not know and has no common ground with) than any other faggot who works for the universities.

Kiwanis is completely not applicable, because I am neither from nor work with the third world, and I don't qualify for academic excellence.

Yeah, like I said, you are a known liar.

Not only because what you say here is a lie, but because your contention (that if it were not so, you might have some input) is also, provably, a lie.

It's funny how you ask for help and then are a cunt to everyone who offers.

Project much?

Iggy has his degree from LMU. I could take a picture for your pompous ass. I think he has mentioned his job on here before.

And while my SIL doesn't read FUBU, she played WoW on BH along with my brother, his wife and over a dozen of my other IRL friends. Some of their occupations: penetration tester (haha), lawyers, IRS agent, Blizzard dev, hacker, university professor, physicist, geologist, IT nerd... I could go on. So while I could ask for her help, and she would because she and I are close... I won't.

Just because you hang out with losers doesn't mean that everyone else does. It isn't about what you know, but who you know sometimes. Start working on your Roledex. And don't call people liars because they make you feel inferior. ;)

So you say you are friends with all these supportive people and I should feel inferior.

Yet here you are...a self-proclaimed genius with a "Rolodex" full of supposedly helpful people...employed as an elementary school teacher with no career change in sight...whose self-worth is buoyed by flirting with every random guy on the internet and telling outrageous lies ("my friend lived in the projects until his house burned down") that don't last a moment's thought, still maimed by some pug-related grievance I forgot years ago.

What am I supposed to feel "inferior" to? If those "friends" won't raise your station, why should I think they'd lift a finger for me?

It's like that scene from The Simpsons where Homer is trying to pass the truck exam, and Patty and Selma tell him, "You are a loser, Homer...and we're winners." Homer's hardly a winner, but at least he's trying. At least he's reconciled his mediocrity as something he must accept or change. The twins, on the other hand, let their dead-end job and horrendously unsatisfying love life pervade every aspect of their socialization.

I'm not a winner and neither are you. We are both losers. We just deal with our loser-status differently.

Usdk wrote:

It is an unfortunate pattern. But most are not interested in genuine help. Mazel was clearly genuinely interested, although I think he's decided it's either not worth it or he has nothing to offer.

I did get some constructive help from a few people on FUBU, though.

Loans are probably your best bet though, I had forgotten your GPA was that poor - it'll be nearly impossible to find a scholarship that'll accept anyone with a sub 3.0, especially if you need the money by the end of August. The deadlines for scholarship applications generally ends mid-June, if not earlier.

How would I go about getting a commission? And is there an actual benefit to not "going" for one?

Yes, so it would seem - but I've kind of decided I don't want to go to UC...I am done with the US school system. It is kind of ridiculous to have sat around waiting only to change my mind - you could see that as fear of commitment/desire to preserve the limbo of the status quo - but I really think the better option would be to study abroad.

AUS/NZ would be best, I think, but I'd be interested in looking even further afield.

I should feel bad for teasing the mentally ill, but he brings this crap on himself.

Spend the next month or so learning how to read, because your reading comprehension really sucks.

Most study abroad is incredibly expensive for US residents, often just as much as tuition stateside would be. Thought about Israel? It's supposedly incredibly easy to get citizenship and an education there if you can prove your Jewishness.

Military would be another option, as would be reapplying for the Peace Corps program. Most government loans are written off if you serve a certain amount of time, that'd be something to look into.

I had considered and dismissed it because I think that country is fucked up and don't want to be associated with it. But thinking about it more it might not be so bad. And yes it should be easy to prove I'm Jewish - documentation from my synagogue back in CA lulz.

I was looking at...African colleges. Cheap education and cheap sex (lol Dotzilla), and they speak English. And it could be an adventure. A safari, even. Objectively, the chance of finding an opportunity in Africa is much higher just because it's further afield. At any rate, life there would be cheap, and I could probably get a job as a token white guy. Cheaper way to blow five years than anything else I could do.

I'm seriously considering it.

PeaceCorps appears ridiculously elitist and I don't qualify/not practical for many reasons. I plan on sitting and writing my apps at the feedlot buffet tomorrow and talking to recruiters on Thursday.

Hey Azelma... I think I may have been wrong about something, so perhaps you could clarify for me. What is it you do, what did you major in, and what services does your company provide?

My question was poorly worded so when I saw the answer no I took it to me you didn't think that avenue was a good one. Allow me to rephrase. Have you thought of tutoring before? I remember from awhile back you posted some of your test scores (I think they were good). I worked this past year tutoring high school students in basically any school subject as well as things like SAT and ACT. I made good money (I live in an extremely wealthy area of Northern Virginia so the hourly rate here may not work in other areas). For comparison I made 2x as much here as I did when I tutored in Texas while going to school. The job was fun and challenging for me (I had some real lazy students who I had to motivate). It can easily be something you do part-time while you go to school (10-15 hours a week and you can make 2K/month which should help a good deal with living expenses and the like). I used wyzant.com to start out and find clients and then switched them to paying me directly to avoid the cut that wyzant takes.

This may not be as helpful anymore since you said you don't want to go to school in America but I wanted to clarify my previous post since it was short and not well worded.

I glossed over this because it was late and I had just gotten home from an audition.

1. I'm not a self-proclaimed genius, you moron. Those evil Mensa people let me in their club because I knew how to flirt really well. Clearly. :eye roll: And these doctors that have been testing me since I was 5 have been saying the same thing. Weird.

2. I don't teach elementary school. I teach k-12, every subject (from German to Physics) in the home/hospital program. I also grade the regional, state and national Academic Pentathlon and Decathlon essays. It works for me since I have small children. I have declined a couple of offers and will continue to do so until my son is in school. I need flexibility, and none of the careers I have found myself in would afford me that. The one that did garnered me a potential boss that clearly expected me to sleep with him for advancement. I declined that job as well.

3. I have never been in a group of any sort with you (certainly not a pug), and of we were, you weren't significant enough for me to notice. So don't flatter yourself. You actually got on my ass first because I have breasts and you have a vendetta against IQ scores because yours likely tells you that you are merely average. And I'm pretty sure I started despising you when you went after me the day Liz killed herself. You can still fuck off for that.

4. Just because you feel the need to lie doesn't mean that others do. The story about the fire was related to me and a group of people BY THE VICTIM. He was talking about losing what meager possessions he had as a kid. But he was probably lying for sympathy, right? I don't lie. You do though. And since you are dishonest you project that suspicion onto everyone else.

Having a high IQ and being a genius are two different things. Yes, MENSA uses the label "clinical genius" based on a certain level of IQ. But real genius, creative genius, is being able to take whatever intelligence and motley talents one may have and being able to create something original with them. If you can't do that then your IQ is no more consequential than your shoe size.

So if those MENSA tests and "doctors" say you're smart etc but you can't do anything with that smartness, what does that say about you?

Essay grading is "Patty and Selma grading Homer on the drivers' test". Petty work for petty people who trip over the small power they have. Subjective essays pervade the modern educational system precisely because they're completely irrelevant and devoid of all standards.

I was tutored through home/hospital for nine months by a woman like you. It's an utterly vacuous job where you can sit there and do whatever you want, whenever you want, because you have no external standards to meet. I remember the particular idiot who did HnH with me also styled herself a teacher of sign language and very obviously didn't know anything past the extreme basics. There's a whole class of losers who do this undemanding, non-competitive work then try to pump themselves up as brilliant polymath educators.

Oh, don't take my word for it. Excerpt from a prior post:

Quote:
...Ethan began home instruction with a San Juan Unified School District instructor. She was a nice woman, but a very weak teacher. Ethan returned for sixth grade...

You may think crying sexual harassment makes you sound like a victim. It doesn't. It makes you sound like a loser. Generally speaking, men don't have the opportunity to offer sexual favors as a means of personal advancement, but they compete against women and other men all the same.

If the best excuse you have for failure to advance is unwillingness to offer sex, then it begs the question what, if anything, else you bring to the table.

Every word of this is a lie.

I don't know who this supposed Liz is. I had not seen pictures of you or heard you bitch about your IQ until we both started posting on FUBU. Everyone on this board knows that your first interaction with me was through some sort of pug.

And the very fact you try to make an innuendo that you have large boobs proves the hypocrisy of #3. Typical feminist bitch who goes around shaking her ass and demanding shit then cries harassment.

"BY THE VICTIM" Oh, this is new and interesting rhetoric. "BY THE VICTIM!" So it was "BY THE VICTIM!", so it must be okay. Got it. Anyone ever seen this feminist argument before?

Calling me dishonest proves you are a liar. Everyone on this board knows I have many faults but everyone also knows that anyone who calls me dishonest is a liar.

I see - thank you. How does one get started/establish one's credibility? Just standardized test scores?
