i played it at a bros house before. was pretty fun but i don't see how anyone finds it as difficult as they do.

It's basically just pattern recognition, once you learn what patterns work on what mobs it's not particularly difficult. after that it's just about having high enough stats so that you don't get 1 shot by bosses even through your blocks.

Stats mean absolute shit. You can beat the game at level 1 if you're good enough.

from what i gathered all you had to do was take your time, which explains why it's "hard" since most games today can be beaten by holding your forward key.

Loads of trial and error. And a bit of knowledge. I can breeze through most of the game more except the ending levels
