Male tauren are decidedly not anthropomorphic. Two fingers, hooves, hunched posture, bull tails, completely inhuman faces. They get a pass because they're barely humanoid.

I am tempted to go Asura but I don't like being so small that my armor can't be seen clearly. This is also why my first char, my warlock, was human and not gnome. Which is a shame. Besides the obvious synergy between my personality and the Asura temperament, I particularly like the idea of the Asura battlesuit being rideable by others and the tactical flexibility that implies.

I'd like to play a Norn babe, but I don't like their culture or their racials - I don't like that the xforms are mutually exclusive against normal abilities and thus somewhat lacking in flexibility. I haven't seen the Sylvari on live, do they still look like they were drawn by pedos? Maybe human...would have to see the racials...

EDIT: Just looked at the racials. Human pvp trinket loool. Syvari racials look completely overpowered for soloing. And I do like maple syrup. I need to get around to finishing the Asura waffle fanfic.

I thought the Sylvari looked pretty interesting, especially with the glowy effect in their hair.

The personal stories of each race are drastically different, yes? I'll probably try each race at least once just so I can experience the game from all sides.

PS: The Charr look badass when they run. Fuck what ya hurd.

In the short time I played GW1, they came out with three 60$ expansions. It is not a one time fee to play, dont fool yourself.

GW content was released over a couple years. The original game had one expansion, and then there were two optional episodes which could be purchased and played as standalone games, or they could be merged with the other two episodes to increase content. If you wanted to pay Nightfall then you could without getting the Guild Wars Vanilla or Factions -- It's like getting a full experience from just buying Wrath of the Lich King, without the environments, characters and skills from the previous WoW games.

I don't think there has been any information on expansion release schedules.
