She eventually turned out to be kind of erratic. She would disdain my texts then soon after ask why I hadn't talked to her. I think that she was kind of afraid of a relationship with a white guy (she said, dubiously, that her family thought she'd wind up with a white guy, implying they and she thought this eccentric or undesirable).

Oh well. Good times, move on.
