I don't quite understand how using a preconfigured tool that is simple enough to be utilized by illiterate Chinese peasants to cheat because you lack the intelligence to play the game economy makes you cool.

Herbing/Mining just has a capped profit margin, you can only get so much product in X amount of time so the profit never increases. VS playing the AH you are only capped by how much gold you have, so the more gold you get the more gold you can get(rich get richer). Like a friend of mine gold capped fairly quickly in wrath by buying(all) glyphs and reselling them.

I am just to lazy for farming/AwHoring. I make most of my gold via raiding. Firelands made me an awful lot of gold from BOE's, was running 3 raids a week for a long while and they held there value well(weapons and trinkets !). DS was not as good since the BOE's were all crap compared to valor gear and you could get so much out of RFinder :[. I have made at least 250k from selling mounts/cheeves in DS though. I just wish that the meta/H-DW mounts didn't look so shitty otherwise I would have pulled in a lot more >.>(Wrath mounts/metas were worth more and more people wanted them).

The only time I really made money mining was when I was farming Thorium. The gems that come from the veins are necessary for leveling JCing, and the ore is necessary for leveling as well. I made 15-20k per week doing that. It was an untapped market at the time, too. Just watched TV, listened to Pandora, and/or chatted on vent and farmed all day.

I make gold by accident. I'm never wealthy (by millions standards) but I can always get what I feel like spending gold on, which is usually nothing.

My top gold earned was with the account Xeonxi was on; I had 110k gold. Having 3+ level 85s and a few hours to spend, it's hard not to make serious gold. Cataclysm had a decent amount of gold sinks but could've used a few more.

As for professions, alchemy and tailoring seemed to net the most for a lazy player like myself. Weekly cloths and daily xmutes on a character specced for xmutes made decent gold.

I have found dual boxing my lowbies through dungeons and dissenchanting all of the items (well most) has been a very good money maker. I take the cloth and convert it to something that will DE well then list it all on the ah during what most would consider peek days. I have pulled in about 80k in the last two weeks without much effort. If you have an enchanter it may be worth the time to solo old content.

9 level 90s and 10 85s, Damn I need another hobby.
