So, his hat has a paper in it that says "10/6" which I am to believe is it's cost (ten shillings and six pence) and fairly certain he says it's the size of the hat at some point.

My question is, if you look at it simply as a fraction and simplify

10/6
1 4/6
1 2/3
123

is this a coincidence or do you hink there is more meaning to this?

Portrayals of the Mad Hatter in art have always shown the price of the hat as ten-and-six. The price and format are correct according to British conventions of the time.

England's elitist and classist educational system does not teach math in the singular as is done in America - they teach it only in the plural. The author of Alice in Wonderland was a maths professor, so it's tempting to believe he included that breakdown as some sort of arithmatic pun. I don't see any basis for that, though.

That is what I figured. All wonderful insight though.

I recently re-acquired Alice: Madness Returns. How I gave up the game in the first place is now unimaginable. Hatter just died though. Also, he wasn't called the Mad Hatter as we now know him (the phrase "mad as a hatter" came long after the stories were published.. or perhaps because of the stories?) SO YOU GUYS ARE DOING IT WRONGGGGG

Anyone read the original Alice's Adventures in Wonderland or the sequel Through the Looking-Glass?

Guys who made hats used to use mercury. Many suffered from mercury poisoning, which had the symptom of making them looney.

Does anybody remember Madhatter from BH? Me and him split BFC at the same time. Unfortunately, Bucket didn't need a resto sham when I app'd so we parted ways. :(

Yep, he was in Symbolic too, though he had quit (again) before you joined. I've known that bro for ages, even back when he was known as Madhatterlx
