The big downfall to the game is the ridiculous - and very obvious - feminist influence.
Practically all the male characters are mindless klutzes, sissies or thugs, whereas the female characters, put in the same exact context/situation, are always the ones with all the marbles, the object of sympathy, or with some higher agenda. (And they typically have ridiculous dyke cuts). And like all feminist works, it puts female before male in every selection.
The majority of city guards are female, but the majority of the bandits are male (the margin is large enough that it's fairly ridiculous, actually, like 80-20 each way).
Two women with dyke cuts and a guy (who previously kidnapped a female lead, with a sissy being blamed for not saving her, who apparently didn't need the help) are plotting to poison a well, the two women have this political agenda while the guy just wants money. A female character remarks:
Quote:
They're going to hurt a lot of innocent people - women, children...
It's consistent enough that it's really absurd and intrusive, tbh.
(Googling "guild wars 2 feminism" turns up some incredibly scary and bizarre results that shed a great deal of light on the development of the game)
