Thoughts on your class's?

My engineer is pretty good. I prefer to run around with a rifle while leveling and I've been salvaging most of my pistols since I wasn't really interested in that combination. Plus, rifle deals much larger numbers. I think my favorite aspect of the Engineer Rifle is the Overcharged Shot + Jump Shot combination. My timing and placement of the Jump Shot is pretty good, so I can create a distance and then land a devastating finishing blow that the enemy literally runs into.

I was a little upset at first about the lack of weapon swapping but I've learned that the Flame Thrower kit is well worth it. The Flame Thrower is my large damage dealing kit of choice and I love how I can frontal AOE multiple mobs. This kit has greatly increased my survivability. Flame thrower, in conjunction with Elixir B, is a great combination of skill.

I've decided on a heavy crit Engineer with a lot of focus on precision to start with. I'm currently focusing on Huntsman traits and I'm going to do Explosives next for the power increase... but I'm really curious how a Medic role would play, so later on I might switch to a Pistol/Shield combination, with traits in Alchemy and Inventions. I think the medic role would be pretty useful in SPvP.

Warriors seem fun, double charging is fun and the clear way to go lol.

Can't even touch Rogue till they fix it.

Holy Paladins are nuts. I spam 25-35k holy shocks on people, judgement slows them and speeds me up and then I WoG for full health and get a 9% damage boost. All that plus Sacred Shield? No one can kill me. I 1v3'd two hunters and a feral druid in a BG. It's stupid.

affliction rotation looks like it will be 90% easier at 90, so I don't see any reason to screw around with it now.

how the hell does one play disc? I think I've always approached it as a holy priest (main for 6 years) and that fucked with my pvp. Like, I'd sooner flash heal someone than throw up a shield, for example. Now I'm supposed to use smite and some other new thing? am lost

There were problems with Disc healing early on because they wanted healers to dps when they weren't busy healing and Disc was built around that more than most specs (especially since smiting a target would provide a heal in the process), but at the start of the expansion there really wasn't any time you weren't healing, so disc suffered in the process. I find it works pretty good in BGs, because if you're dps-ing and you're not shadow, people tend to ignore you a bit, so you're adding to the dps while providing a heal and all your really good heal/shield abilities are instant cast.

Yeah you might want to ignore that. Disc at 85 was mediocre until the first Cata patch, at which point they became far and away the best PvP healers and prioritized shielding/penance/HoTs. If you were smiting or doing anything offensive that wasn't a dispel, you were doing it wrong. I haven't played the Pandas changes yet, though, so I can't give current advice.

As a pvp disc healer I did not even take Atonement or Archangel because there was no time to smite in bgs or arenas. The time that would have been spent casting offensive spells was used to cast mass dispel. Now with the new MoP light builds I am seeing an advantage in attacking as a healer. Monk Healers are built to attack to build chi so they are pushing back to that model. Hell, holy paladins are giggling in bgs as the destroy people.

On a side not, I always would attack as a resto shaman in pve or pvp even without the ability that returned mana because earth shield gave me a few moments to use filler dps spells.

9 level 90s and 10 85s, Damn I need another hobby.
