i'll think about it, listening to some of them play rubs me the complete wrong way. not the whole "bigotry" because i'm not 12 and have been on the internet before, just the overall seriousness of it. i've played some games pretty seriously before, but i've long grown out of try harding to that extreme and that's what it seems like to me, at least from the stream i watched.

on the same note this isn't a solo play game, and playing it with a gigantic group of people would make it all the better. i'll think it over after i finish blowing people up in MWO.

Yeah I mean it's definitely not what you want to join if you like a) sniping or b) flying or c) tank driving.

That said, the only people who have to worry about being "serious" are the squad leaders, and even then they can fuck off so long as they're not under orders. I've been in the same squad as Buzz a couple of times, and it's actually very pleasant.

the last game i enjoyed sniping in was enemy territory, so that's not really an issue.

This isn't a match based KDR whoring game, though you can play it like that.

In our outfit though we're mobile infantry and we kick ass.

Not in our outfit. There's not a "sniper class" per se, but only infiltrators can use sniper rifles. The cloaking is weird, cant fire while cloaked, slight cooldown ebtween uncloaking and being able to fire, etc. But not everything in game is unlocked in the beta, so they're useless FOR NOW. Will update as new shit comes out.

Good thing Armored Kill comes out in ~3 days.

Snipers are great if you play NC, but the rifle for the faction we play is basically a medium-powered automatic with a scope. And most of the reason we don't use tanks is that they're too slow to deploy and Enclave is 100% mobility. Also the TR tanks are kinda lackluster, so again, it's better if you play NC.

That said, the game's gonna be F2P, so you can always check it out Fant

what the hell this game runs like ass, and oddly enough lowering settings makes it worse.

runs great for me. update your drivers, nvidia for example has beta drivers that work great.

also, they're still optimizing the game.

i tried the sniper for shits and giggles for a while. the whole unsteady hands thing with no way to hold your breath for a steady shot is just awful. looking at the certs though it might be cool once everything is in.

back to assault hooooooo. that or medic
