You missed the sarcasm. OJ was convicted of kidnapping and armed robbery. He's still in. Rose gambled on sports. He's out? Not fair at all.

Both of them were hall of famers before their transgressions, and weren't active players when they did wrong(betting on your own team? for SHAME!)

Tell me how OJ being in but Rose is out is fair.

Yes it does - and what must be done about it makes sense. The sad thing is, I don't see it happening any time soon. There will have to be a collapse of some kind first.

OJ Simpson was found innocent. It would be unjust to punish someone for a crime of which they were found innocent...however obviously guilty they may be.

What then is to stop anyone from being persecuted on the basis of an unproven accusation?

Furthermore, OJ didn't cheat. He may be a thug and murderer, but he committed no grievance against the game itself. Rose did. He conned the sport.

If one is to argue that character alone is a basis for stripping of Hall of Fame status, then you must agree that if OJ is, then so is Rose. Otherwise, it's bias, plain and simple.
