I know several of you are in the path of this storm. I hope when this is all over, it was much ado about nothing. Still, I hope you all find someplace high and dry for the next couple of days, and that you and yours are safe. Good luck, guys.

Power's already down in parts of NJ and the actual storm hasn't landed. It's great that some of you are from hurricane-prone areas, but the northeast isn't built for this shit.

Yeah that's the big concern. With siblings in Philly and NYC and other family members in NJ I'm hoping it doesn't turn out so bad.

It's been raining since the early morning hours and the worst is yet to come for my area. The winds are sustained at 25mph with gusts to 35mph, and they're forecasting much higher winds than that. I'm certain the power will go out during the over night hours, so I'm about to ready the generator and garage for that. I need to keep the sump pumps running all night or else my basement will flood again. Unfortunately, the alarm system I put in my sump reservoirs is badly corroded and is inoperable, so now I need to stay up all night and just monitor for water. It's gunna suck. :[

I'm in Ohio and its been raining constantly since Saturday night. I worked a 3 hour shift yesterday though and we're supposed to get fucked tonight and tomorrow though, so its been a mixed bag.
