It's been an entertaining day so far. Transformers are christmas lights. The ocean's already breaching a few areas and about 2-3 feet deep about 200 yards in where it shouldn't be.

Equally shitty country. Those people aren't allowed to live anywhere else.

So we had a power outage earlier, but the lights came back on a minute later. I was at the Home Depot buying two 100ft extension cords 'just in case'... while I was there, I found a replacement water alarm.

The thing just went off... so, now I need to stay awake or find a way to get my laptop to 'alert' me if it switches to battery power. Not a single beep, but a loud siren would be needed to wake my ass up.

Yeah, I agree. My only issue is AS USUAL the media insists on hyping this thing to hell even for people not in coastal areas.
