Pretty neat actually getting past Peru. It's a pretty awesome game, to my surprise, minus the parts where stuff has poor mechanics. One spot, you move this block from a fishes mouth, and the water in the room rises. Blah blah blah, I get further, and I'm like - bet I put that block back, water goes down. Try that a couple times, and it just pushes me back. Fast forward to frustration and eventual tip from Meowth, I find out you have to put the block back, but have to do so going at it straight. There's no indication of this, remember, it's just a fish's mouth.
I decided to jump on the hand of a statue of Midas, thinking jokingly to myself, "Hope I don't turn to gold!". Then I turned to gold and died.
i sure can't wait for the reboot of tomb raider that won't have anything like that, because fuck letting the player do anything. you're going to go from point A to point B, press X to make something awesome happen for 15 seconds, and you're going to like it.
don't get me wrong, i'm glad it will actually handle better then old tomb raider games, which are notorious for being some of the worst controls ever, but i don't expect to see anything remotely clever or interesting as far as platforming. just typical 7th gen cinematic bullshit.
