I still maintain that across the board, southern states are lighter shades of purple than northern states.

Now, this is more accurate as it shows there are plenty of Obama voters in the south...but the facts remain the same.

It wouldn't work that way. Red State / Blue State are the only outcomes considered. Aka Romney Voters / Obama Voters. I don't know how someone could include variables such as male / female, minority / white, college degree / no college degree, etc.
