are any of you nerds getting one?

it comes out on sunday and i'm definitely going to be stopping by to pick one up

i've never been a hardcore console gamer, and wii sports/mario kart/anything by nintendo is great for entertaining guests (no one wants to sit around and listen to/watch you play CoD)

I will say though, Mario Party on the Wii is the greatest thing when you're with random people.

i am, even though i know all the third party games on it will just do useless gimmicky shit with the controller. i don't mind buying it just for the nintendo first parties, but i wish it would turn out to be more. even more disappointing that nintendo's big launch title for it is basically doing the same thing and encouraging you to use a wiimote instead, since pikmin 3 was supposed to be a wii title to begin with.

you should watch some of the 15 minute gameplay vids. that game definitely has some cool potential.

I'll probably look into it at some point. I haven't played a console since around when the Cube came out and i've kind of been yearning for one lately. I may jump on early for this next cycle.

i'm watching the same guy who streamed halo 4 early stream wii sports 2.0, whatever they're calling it with all the mini games to show off the controller. some of these actually look pretty fun, not gonna lie. donkey kong game also looks harder then anything on the market, though that doesn't say much. reminds me of something like ghouls and ghosts in that it's impossibly hard.

I may pick one up a year or two from now, but I'm certainly not going to blow $300 on a console that I might use for a few months at best. (Though the timing, relative to Sony and Microsoft's releases, couldn't be better if I did buy on impulse.)
