Pretty sure mayo on burgers is about as French/Canadian as chicken cordon bleu

EDIT: I'm not stating the "best" burger cheese, only applicable uses for american cheese. If the burger has mushrooms, grilled onions, and/or bacon, then blue is the best option, otherwise, american.

I did have the Lair of the Minotaur at this place, which was pretty fucking good.

Incidentally, I still wonder if there's an underground restaurant that serves expertly prepared human flesh. If not, someone should start one. I'm sure there's a market for it, especially amongst hedge fund managers (not to get political).

Onions are prime, mushrooms are only good if they're fresh, and grilled red/green bell peppers only go on certain items like sausage/steak subs.

I suddenly want to stuff a portabella with sausage, onions, peppers, and cheese.

I saw this surprisingly well done oil painting of psilocin mushrooms at a local thrift shop. The style was unremarkable but the relief and palette were amazing. Unfortunately, I didn't have a use for it, as I could never have something like that up in my room.

I love carmelized onions, but I can't stand undercooked or raw onions. My "mother" was an excellent cook, and one of my favorite dishes which she made very well was french onion soup (another was barley-mushroom soup).

I love mushrooms of every type and in every form - raw, broiled, sauteed, even fried. I use them in everything, especially since they provide that meaty taste that is wanting in my diet.

Bell peppers have no taste to me no matter how they are cooked and I don't understand how anyone can like them.
