I'm a chubby piece of shit, and I have no sympathy for people who let themselves go and then suffer the consequences. If/when I have a heart-attack, it's either my own fault for being an out-of-shape fatty or just the natural course of events. It sounds like this person made a lot of really bad decisions that just piled one on top of the other until they offed themselves.

I'm going to be even more dismal and bleak and say that most Americans should just go ahead and choose death. I've accepted that outside of my son and friends, I have absolutely nothing in my life that justifies my continued existence. Everything I do that isn't work related is just an attempt to fill empty time until the inevitable happens. I'm pretty awesome, and that's the reality I've come to embrace, so just think about how it must be for all the people who are mediocre and mundane by comparison. The only advantage they have is that they're not self-aware enough to realize how pointless their lives are and how little they contribute to the world.

Which is the more disrespectful argument? That you were fortunate to have your mom and what she managed to do for you before passing away, or that all that you enjoy as a result is strictly a personal accomplishment you owe to no one, and therefore anyone who isn't as fortunate isn't as good as you are?

I'm not saying everyone else should be a loser, I'm saying most people already are losers. They do nothing that gives their lives any meaning or value. Outside of the people who are emotionally attached to them, they won't be missed. I've squandered my talents and a few opportunities, a lot of other people do the same. The most disappointing thing about you is that you're on track to do the same. Loads of talent and what mark have you made on the world outside of some internet forums and video games? That's a question only you can answer, but don't let your narcissism delude you. You're as big a waste of space as some drunk idiot watching NASCAR in a trailer park, but so long as you have those people around to make yourself feel better by comparison, you'll never be able to see it.
