This was done during said Dyslexiah led TK. I forgot who our other tank was. I do recall that the person transferred servers and took on Dyslexiah's name.

In reality it was a combined effort of myself, NK, and Danzor. We talked Nick out of giving Mord loot and constantly gave him shit for being outhealed by Siphon Life. I was the only one that really posted in the thread though

Doubt it. I miss the days when everyone knew everyone...even the nobodies knew who the good guilds and big shots were.

Taking an extended hiatus from gaming

10-man guilds are incredibly petty. I have never seen a 10-man guild that is more than a clique of jerks who are jerks in similar ways. The model inherently attracts bad players who want to pretend they are good by avoiding interaction with players who might challenge that view.

The ease of putting together a 10-man also serves to make 10-man guilds very unstable, because if any one person doesn't show the guild is crippled, and it's too easy to just put another guild or raid together from scratch.

All of this serves to diffuse epic drama into petty feuding. There can't be epic drama if nothing - no raid, guild, piece of loot or personality - is so important that it can't be easily replaced and people don't have a reason to stand their ground and fight over anything, instead of just waiting for the nerf or joining another fly-by-night 10-man.

A major but largely unnoticed factor in the decline of guild drama has been Blizzard's paranoid desire to exercise totalitarian control over the game community. This is why, for example, they removed the Off-Topic forum and routinely nuke threads on the official forums for absolutely no other reason than that they aren't WoW-related, and why they replaced community figures with Blizzard puppets like Ashelia and Perculia. In doing so, they prevent the community from creating its own heroes and anti-heroes, and they constrict discourse to the most banal, depriving drama of a suitable theater.

The irony of attempting to appeal to "casuals" with "lives" while hermetically sealing their game world off from the rest of reality is apparently lost on Blizzard.

The most incredible development has been Blizzard actually creating their own guild, called the <Blizzard Mentor Alliance>. Guilds that want to join the alliance have to purchase a namechange out of their own pockets BEFORE being audited and approved (or not) by Blizzard. The worst of the worst, of course, are the <Blizzard Mentora Allianca>.

Every such guild I've encountered is one of those huge guilds filled with retards and with megalomanical GMs "hurr durr I am important GM person of guild with 500 bads". Just goes to show, when you can't make a decent product, find stupider customers and brainwash them into buying your shit on a stick.
