What you describe isn't SEO, it's product promotion and website design. Obviously if the discussion is about black hats and you're describing a bandana, then what you are describing is not the genuine article.

"Uh oh, Azelma is right, better switch gears and say he's not describing SEO at all"

What's the weather like in Oz, Aestu?

Loamy and porous, with high sand content.

Anyway, we're not going to see eye to eye, but my offer remains valid.

There is a human component to SEO in terms of result ranking as well. Sites that use only keyword stuffing (usually in the source code) to get views and offer nothing of value are generally marked as such. Same thing goes for "best results" vs "best match results". Just because a site matches the search the best, doesn't mean it is the best result for the search.

Agreed. Also, keyword stuffing hasn't been effective since about 1999...so any SEO who says "just stuff keywords everywhere" is an idiot and should be beaten.

I can assure you, it still happens. A lot.

I initially read "Buzzfeed" as "Blizzard", bumbled around the OP looking for something that made sense, then realized my mistake and stopped reading.

EDIT: I also had no idea what SEO meant until I just looked it up.
