It's not a problem, and no worries, I take no offense. Just be sure that you look into the residency requirements for Ohio. Not all states are the same - some have more requirements, some have less. And being considered a resident of the state in general is different from being considered a resident for tuition. Look particularly at residency for tuition purposes.

http://www.uc.edu/registrar/residency_r ... dency.html

The way it sounds is that you can get "conditional residency" for tuition if you're self sustaining with PT/FT work in Ohio, and they will waive the 12 month thing as long as you're enrolled only part time. This is for UC though, check with whatever other colleges you look at too. They also seem to not want you to be getting any money from out of state. Doing so might take some finagling, like having money wired instead of depositing in a bank account, or sent as a check and cashed out.

That said, I'm sure you'll do fine. You're resourceful enough to make it work.

Only 3 more presents to track down! My kids are getting all of the Skylanders figures, so that should be fun :)

You should get this for yourself for Christmas/Hanukkah, Aestu.

Have you ever actually seen that particular episode? It's one of my favorites, and I strongly identify it with my experience in WoW.

I'm not into kitsch, though, least of all Star Trek kitsch. And I don't like buying myself gifts because it makes me depressed.

I remember it because I think you reference it from time-to-time.

Also, I strongly disapprove of the giving of Hanukkah gifts.

It's one of the sad things about getting older...I just don't get excited about Christmas presents in the same way.

Every year my parents ask me what I want and I struggle to come up with anything.

I've finally resorted to asking for socks.

Comfy undies and socks FTW.

If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.

I talked to the parents yesterday and they said they needed a day to think about it. Called them back today.

"So what do you think?"
"...We don't have any money, Ethan."
"So...because you have no money...you prefer to spend $1100/mo on an apartment in Boston and have me sit around all day, rather than spend $600/mo on an apartment, and at most $300/mo on classes, with a long-term plan, and better chances of employment?"
"...We'll have to think about it, Ethan. We can't talk right now." *click*

I hate my parents so much. So much...

I'll just take next month's rent payment and use it to pay for a down payment on a place in Cinn, and hope my parents don't pull the rug out from under me (as they have been known to).

I got the girl I've been dating an original press Sublime LP because she's a massive Sublime fan

Got my kids batman long sleeve shirts and bought a Wii off a friend of mine who needed money where I needed a Wii for my boys. I'd rather buy used and get a really good but fair deal from a friend (and I did) than buy new from some big box retailer.

My kids opened theirs yesterday at our family celebration, which my ex was present for. I was fine with it because of the occasion, and because we did split the cost of the Wii.

They were really happy and seemingly in awe. They don't really get stuff like that at all, so it was one of those rare moments where the financial status of my bank account and the event itself meshed well enough that we could splurge a little.
