I am equating hardcore with mentality not difficulty.

The point of the "pissing contest" and "eat the tablecloth" metaphor is that pissing contests are stupid because no one who isn't retarded cares how far you can pee; likewise, merely because potting and consumables are part of raiding doesn't mean that using them is a worthwhile goal onto itself any more than eating everything that happens to be on the table.

Three globals per encounter for however much gold plus the associated annoyance of pre-potting is a lousy bargain. If individual people want to do it, fine, but the fact that the practice is observed with nigh-religious fervor, like saying a rosary before each pull or something, betrays the sad state of raid culture.

Fwiw, when I explore a new instance, I will examine every dead-end corridor, every detail of the topography. One often finds interesting things. For example, do you know what brand of hooch furry prefer? It has a name, if you look real close next time you do Battle for Gilneas. Have you ever visited Medivh's bedroom in Kara? Garona's bra and panties are where she left them. Check if you don't believe me. But of course I don't insist everyone partake in "finishing everything on the table" because that sort of thing isn't really what the game is about.

You know what really turned me off WoW raiding? Pre-potting. Most fucking retarded thing ever.

YOU NEED TO DO A COUNTDOWN SO I CAN PREPOT
NONO YOU DID IT TOO FAST I MESSED UP MY PREPOT
WE NEED TO PREPOT SO WE CAN MAX OUR DPS SO WE DONT WIPE
U DONT PREPOT??? THE BEST PLAYERS PREPOT SAYS SO ON EJ

Then they froth at the mouth when you walk them through the numbers and show just how incredibly marginal prepotting is. A lot of super minmaxxers in most games are like that. They pretend to min-max/theorycraft/whatever but totally suck at it and do things that don't stand up to a moment's thought or fourth-grade math because they perceive their bad approaches as elite, because it's what everyone else (equally mediocre players) do.

Like you said, they seem to be the majority of every game now. It's really tiresome.

You just indirectly reminded me to water my CACTI. MOTHER OF E$(*#&$(*&#)$(*&#$)(*&)(*&#$)(*&#$)(*&

For this I thank you.

I have like a vine/hanging cactus(horsetail) and I only water it like 3-4 times a year. It usually reminds me to water it when it flowers >.> all the little nodules on it just fill up with water I guess because they shrink down and then a day after I water it its puffed up good as new.

That plant is a succulent, not a true cactus, I believe.

For extra fun, try propagating it. Due to the popularity of propagation amongst weed growers, rooting hormone is hard to find in stores these days (I got funny looks when I asked for it at Home Depot), but you can buy it on eBay.

Yea this plant is a cutting from a friend of my moms, you can just cut off a few inches and stick it in another pot and it will start anew but I don't have the need for more than one. "rooting hormone" is not really needed for most of the plants we have /shrug

I would like to get tree splicing to work out :{ I have tried a few times with apple trees. I have a couple really nice 100 year old apple trees here that have super good apples but I we haven't been able to get them to take on new trees. I haven't really looked into it but I would assume that now adays they do something more than wax and string.

Different trees are used for grafting and growing. You may get better results if you try young, fresh grafting stock rather than a mature fruit tree. I know it is generally better to transplant in the winter, when the tree is sleeping, perhaps grafting works the same way. And be very sure to fully seal the incision and keep the graft away from excess moisture.

But you may know more than I, of course.

So, should I come back to WoW or does it still suck hard?

If you can return to WoW acknowledging that the game is a lot different, I maintain that it's the people that make the game fun. I'm on Area 52 Horde in a guild that I run with a real life friend of mine and some of his IRL and ingame friends. Our focus is PvP. Our philosophy is based around teaching, helping people and getting better as a unit. We're not anything special ratings wise, but we don't pretend to be. We're focused on winning and taking games seriously, but not so seriously that we start raging and being assholes to each other. To each their own, though.

I just started again -- nothing crazy like before.

Just leveling to 90* with raff and robbie.

*Then we'll see what happens

We switched to sen'jin though because it's a better middle point for equal latency sorry battlebro <3

There's cross realm everything anyway so it shouldn't matter if we ever want to do dungeons at max or something.

Kelleth transferred to Sen'jin. Have fun with that.

I still have an active sub and always like playing with fwiends.

Former officer in Borderline Amazing, usually plays his hunter or druid, has a level capped toon of every class, decent player but wildly unreliable in every sense, trolls nonstop during raids, biggest pathological liar I've ever met in WoW (which is saying a lot).

also not to perpetuate a derailment of topic, but I've really been interested in starting a banzai tree. The real way, as opposed to just buying one and trimming it. Not easy to do imo I've tried 2x :(
