This is an auction for a GW2 CE. Complete, mint, unopened, without blemish, includes CD key and all other materials.

Also includes a pair of boxer briefs formerly worn by GW2 Lead Designer Eric Flannum.

Dear nucleokinesis,

Do these actually include "a pair of boxer briefs formerly worn by GW2 Lead Designer Eric Flannum" or is that a joke?

Quote:
Yes, in fact, it does.

The boxer briefs were acquired by my ex, who attended several beta events in the Seattle area. She was a big fan of GW2 even before it launched and became one of Flannum's horde of groupies. My ex and him got smashed one night and made out in one of the trucks hired for the event. She stole his underwear as a keepsake and held onto them for a while, and eventually let me borrow them after I soiled my own with corn oil, which I attempted to use as lube because we ran out of Astroglide. It didn't work out -_-

After we broke up, I never bothered to return the boxer briefs. So yes...they are the genuine article. They are in good condition, clean, with no obvious signs of wear. The buyer of the other of the two GW2 boxes I have on hand wasn't interested in them and asked I keep them, so I'm offering them with this auction instead.

Happy bidding!

If I may ask please do not send the boxers. I would greatly appreciate it and leave positive feedback if you don't send them.

It will never cease to amaze me that you will diss something and call it shit all while still buying their stuff.

You are dense. I bought those to resell. The investment simply did not pay off. It happens.

I bought the DDX for myself, tried it, then called it shit.
What part of that is unreasonable?

Just today I remembered that it's Xmas season and GW2 no doubt has some sort of exclusive Xmas items. So I of course Google it up.

If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.

It's amazingly fun up to level 20 then gets tedious fast. The game plays like LoL in the first person. Leveling consists of doing events that all seem exactly the same.

I found the pervasive feminist propaganda to be a massive turnoff (e.g., naming one of the main characters, a Mary Sue revolutionary with a ridiculous dykecut, after a group of lesbian terrorists; blowing female characters from GW1 way out of proportion, literally, with massive statues in their honor despite playing marginal roles in the plot, while making no mention of the male leads; every other NPC conversation being about gender relations; totally bizarre and unrealistic gender relations in the lore; almost all the male characters are doofuses, cowards or bullies while the female characters invariably have all the marbles). This is also why all the females in the game are homely at best. Some people don't mind, whatever.

The outdoor PvE is very hard to do in multiplayer because the game has even sharper phasing than WoW. Party members become invisible beyond about 50 meters and can't be tracked on the map. Most seriously, quest progress can't be shared, which completely defeats outdoor group questing. The game world is also damaged by its lack of strong landmarks and poor definition of space and time. Fast travelling is part of the problem, but also the excessively uniform layout of zones, lacking real hubs and thoroughfares/byways, feel like the questing equivalent of suburbs.

The lore lacks the pull of WoW or GW1. The character of the GW2 races doesn't come alive the way it does in other MMOs. I think this is probably due to the lack of good quest text, strong characters and dialogue. The game has a very strong theme-park feel to it, like the later WoW expansions but more so.

It's B2P, though, so, whatever, you can blow $20 or whatever trying it out and then leave it on your PC until someone nags you to log in.

Had Enclave played this game instead of PS2, it would have been awesome, but without a big organized crew on server, there's no real reason for me to play.

As I understand it, mass PvP is a disaster, so any Enclave presence wouldn't automatically have been fun.

I enjoyed what I saw of it, the only problem with it is the fact that you face other servers and not your own, therefore there's no rivalries.

Which would be the glaring fly in the ointment.

Who cares about MMOs when they're currently working on a Warhammer version of the Total War series?
