Edited my post at bottom of last page with laptop. lol.

Chuba, taking that rule in the context of the Crimean War, we can conclude that Azerbaijan is, in fact, part of Asia.

As if there were ever a doubt. As if anyone ever cared.

Today i got on the amtrak from DC to Boston. A nervous olive-skinned guy asked if he could sit next to me. Typical East Indian, he began to talk. He made reference to "my country".

"Bangladesh," I said.

His eyes lit up. After all, not very many Westerners can distinguish a Bangaldeshi by eye. He talked more and more, and for over two hours I listened to him tell me all about his life, country, observationas about Western life. I had a good frame of reference for most of what he described, something that surprised him. I in turn offered advice and insight and aadded his knowledge and expeeience to my own.

All i could think of the entire conversation was this mental image of an ancient anceztor of mine crossing paths in the Middle East on the Silk Road with a Muslim and sharing yarns about distant lands. Its funny that today we are zo fortunate to live in auch an era. I thought it funny that we still share our life experiences driven by so many years of history - the Exodus, the Roman conquests, how they drove my ancestors out of their home and ultimately here to America and set in motion the events leading to the establishment of the British Empire and now this Bangladeshi coming here trying to make his way amongst the reaults of that...and now here we are so far from our personal and anceztral homes and yet we carry that legacy with us....

As part of my campaign to make more friends, wwe shared nameas ans emails. Funny enoguh he also was an accountant in training!I truly feel fate is amiling upon me this journey. I must strive to fully validate my good fortune to meet such fascinating people with such synergy with my goals. Its a strange day when I feel truly blessed.

On a more typical Aestu note, this sort of interaction is why I despise perceived rednecks. They have no sense of purpose, of wisdom, of continuity. They lack that sense of glorious order - that through knowledge and understanding we can so good in this world. They do not understand that power. And it is also why they are so obsesssed with guns and violence. Because against the world, that is the best they can do.e

I like most of Aestu's tldrs about nothing at all (completely serious)

I got a really good chuckle at his description of his plans for the 2nd bedroom (suppression devices, died laughing)

I seem to have caught a bad flu during my trip. I feel weak, nauseous, feverish and runny (both ways).

I'm very thirsty, but Boston water tastes bad - and really should not be drunk at all - and I am out of beverages. Except...

I had a mostly full bottle of lemon juice, and some three-month-old simple syrup distilled from 'Sugar in the Raw'. I took both, poured them together in an empty glass milk bottle, then filled the difference up with water, removed the cap and put it in the freezer for 15 minutes.

Will this taste better than tap water? Will I make myself sicker? Would anyone care to share the secrets of making good, strong lemonade?

We have a family recipe for amazingly good homemade lemonade, but I don't know it.

I had a really painful / disgusting / annoying stomach bug as well. I was literally convulsing on the bathroom floor unable to move without experiencing massive pains. I had to miss two days. Shit sucks. Second day was at my bosses request, I really felt well enough to go back but meh.

Juice your own lemons. The lemon juice in the bottle works really well for adding to recipes where the lemon doesn't really stand out, but when you're making stuff like lemon pies and lemonade, fresh lemons are always going to be better.

That being said, I literally cannot stand lemonade.

make grog. The solution is always rum + hot water + sugar.

(that said, if you just want water, boil your trashy Boston water and then put it in the fridge. Should come out tasting okay)

How does something sound so manly in name, yet sound so bad in definition?

Probably just me. I've never liked the idea of changing liquor (or anything consumable for that matter). I am of the belief that changing things is insulting to those who made it.

It wasn't made to be good, it was made so people wouldn't dehydrate in the british navy. Wikipedia has a really great article about it.
