No no, they won't take any poison damage outside of battle, and they WILL faint and be unobtainable should they reach 0 hp (in any fashion) during battle. Your best bet really is to wait until you have a high-level False Swiper, get them to exactly one HP, then put them to sleep on the next encounter.



Excellent, in the original silver/gold series you could kill them by poisoning them. I remember watching them on the map and then eventually disappearing :(

Let's say I removed the dark it psychic in favor of ampharos. Right now I've got a flaafy but if it's not worth the effort I'll drop it.

Ampharos has a decent SATK, but it's quite slow. A slow electric type isn't a good thing, as their defenses usually don't hold up. It's why they have only one weakness (ground).

Not at the time of writing. I was expressing irritation with the process of fishing for it. But now, after several hours of going pane-by-pane in the cave lake, I caught a few. If you need one I will be happy to trade. How do we do that remotely?

The way I play is I refuse to use any kind of filler Pokemon. I have my team and that's what I'm going to use.

So:

Typlosion, Gengar, Vaporeon, Dodrio, Grass/Lightning Type?, ??????

That way I don't "waste" experience so to speak. I can't stand grinding on random Pokemon.

Filler pokemon? Not sure what you mean lol

If you want an electric type, Magnemite is a good one. Sure it has 4x weakness to ground, but it's several resistances and great SATK outweigh that.

You know like... Pokemon to fill out a slot until you get the one you really want.

Also doesn't Magnemite have Levitate as an ability?

Unfortunately not, they only gave it Sturdy and Magnet Pull, which are both pretty useless until high-end pvp. Also fuck filler pokemon, lol who the hell does that!
