They both suck, but the second one seems to lead to better roads eventually.

I did ~6 years doing grunt work at UPS before being a full time driver and it feels good man.

Yeah. This is what happened today on a truck with 6080 miles on it. Though this truck only gets ~39 miles on it per day and is started and stopped an average of 160 times per day.

Luckily I was done with everything but the last 5 stops so I had to walk a few blocks to finish up. Second time in a month or so. Last one was with a Hybrid Electric and those things are incredibly shitty vehicles.

My driver tells me everything has been getting a lot worse in the company lately. Also them work days around here are close to 6am - 8pm daily.

Worse, yes. Those hours? I doubt it unless he is doing early AM on top of regular stuff every day of the week. I start at 8:45 and leave around 7:30. We get one hour of break and 40 minutes is unpaid.

Well... Decided i was going to go back as a Assistant Manager, current boss at Honda was kind of bitter about it, but told me to reconsider staying. Called me into his office on Friday and offered me a position out in the service lane making appointments and handling the phones, for $12.50. Took the job. Positions of opportunity from there are Service Adviser, Assistant Service Manager, Service Manager, etc. Hooray for counter offers?

Man, the minimum wage across this country continues to astound me. 12.50/hour is starting pay most places here. I'm already at 14/hr where I'm at, and about to get pushed up to 15.50 :|

I got paid $5.75 at my first job. Lowest was $5.25 + tips.
