This is a point everyone agrees on. But the methods have enormous relevance on the possibility of a balanced electoral system. When it becomes burdensome, even if that burden seems small, it must fit a coherent balancing test. Disadvantaging several thousand voters to stop
one or two incidences of voter fraud is like trying to solve your basement roach problem by nuking the entire block.
If destruction exists, we must destroy everything.
