I talked to a couple in GameStop this evening about WoW. They seemed adamant on the idea of WoW never dying. I told them that Vanilla + TBC had all the best game time, but they argued that today WoW has better appeal in opinion.

And then they told me... WoW's next expansion will include POH (Player Owned Houses). I said, "POH?" And they replied, "No, Player Owned Garrisons" or something like that... I don't know what exactly they meant, but I'm sure somebody here has a clue.

Is anybody here still playing? And does anybody know what these two were talking about?

I've been bored recently because I've had my wisdom teeth removed so I haven't been working/going to school so I've slipped into this MMO nostalgic fever which I tried to cure by going to GameStop to purchase a $15 game... It didn't really work.

The main one that stood out was having your recruits go out and farm ore and such for you. I would love to see how that would work while afk.

I'm guessing it works exactly like recruits from other MMO's. You just send them out, and they return after a certain amount of time, based on the mission, with matts/items.

i worry that it's gonna feel super non interactive, the mission side of things

they said stuff like you can see your followers chilling in your base and stuff, but if the entire mission thing is little more than a couple of clicks + afk time then i'm gonna find that to be a pretty boring way to get loot

I signed up for a trial account, figured out i couldn't whisper anyone, then logged out and uninstalled it.

That's the duration of my relapse back to WoW.

There's a flight path in Stormwind, Goldshire and Eastvale Logging Camp these days. I am certain they will make their draenor flight paths equally over-compensating and people will still complain.

Those flight paths in Elwynn aren't even needed, and keep in mind that's with NO ground mount.
