Go see it, saw it at midnight because my brother is working all weekend(that aspect kinda sucked since there is nothing to do in NH from 9-12pm and he wanted to go X-mass shopping at the mall prior to the movie).

I liked it more than the first part, I did however see it with people I like more and I DID'NT see it in 3D this time.. I have decided I really dislike 3D(totally breaks the immersion for me).

Anyway, I don't want to give any spoilers but it was very good even with the differences from the book. I'll probably make an angrier post once more people see it ;[

Great movie. I'll be seeing it again once it hits red box because my girlfriend fell asleep during a couple scenes (her sleep schedule doesn't let her stay up late).

Spoiler (highlight to view):

She missed the scene with the manifestation of Sauron. I was really pleased with the movie, but the barrel scene had some really janky camera swapping. There's a little too much comic relief during the fight scenes with the dwarves. The fight scenes with the elves was brutally awesome.
