What happens when somebody kills all 4 of your spellheart chimeras? Or worse, turn 3 Slaughter Games from a jund player?

Well I addressed that as a huge weakness and that I have ways around it, however, I completely forgot about Slaughter Games. All I could hope in that case, if I even fought red/black, is that I could delay them long enough to get a few on the field and/or GY so that I could perhaps in response Quicken into an Immortal Servitude.

For now it looks like I'd just be fucked. Unless I get lucky or they don't. I'll have to play test and see. I still think I'd have other ways to kill them pending what else they slaughter games'd.

Went 8-3 in Hearthstone Arena today (draft). Picked Mage as the hero class, first pick was Gadgetzan Auctioneer, drafted 3 frostbolts, 2 fireballs, a polymorph, and value creatures.

Super proud of myself after dropping 3 ranks in ranked play yesterday.

Nechra, what do you think of adding/swapping in Silence ? It's a one drop, adds a spell to the GY, and slows them down all in one?

It's actually in my deck now. I'm toying with other creatures to add in. The deck runs great but running into a lot of removal hurts. Dryad Militant/Slaughter Games kill.

The real power cards are going to be:

He's not too shaby. A lot better than the g/w Ajaini. And his ult stacks with Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, nullifying all damage. Which will be fun for edh. Also, Ajani's Pridemate getting reprinted will suit him nicely.

Definitely one of the stronger core sets though.

i do love that they're making the core sets more interesting

now i did enjoy drafting M14 with some of the cute subthemes (getting the lifegain deck to work is always the greatest thing ever) but this is a whole nother level of not suck

2nd at pre-release nerds. 4-1. Was (surprisingly) undefeated all night with the exception of the match I lost (1-2), it was also the silliest of 3rd games, opponent stalled on 2 land for 8 turns then I stalled on 4 plains for 8 turns with a handful of black spells and a 5 cmc white.

Got lucky and got decent white cards, strongest combo was Boonweaver Giant + Spectra Ward with an optional Haunted Plate Mail.

All in all was fun. My Bruna edh is going to love the Spectra Ward

No clue on Annihilator. Is Eldrazi still Eldrazi without it? It's a coinflip imo. Any replacement has to be similarly brutal though surely

I don't really have much of a collection since it's shit i picked up from prereleases (mirrodin block, kamigawa, lorwyn mostly) after selling all i had in ~2002 but i know there' some aether vials, ancient tombs, a random thoughtsieze.

Nothing super valuable like jitte or swords or anything
