So I did listen to the WoWinsider podcast this week, I tend to here and there to get different perspectives on things in game, and there was an interesting item brought up that got me thinking.

They talked about the political shakeup that is currently implemented for the Horde, and how it has been leaked that Vol'jin and Garrosh are going to get into a fight and Vol'jin is going to threaten to kill Garrosh, with the implied tone that we are either going to see it happen in game or something else will happen.

Then they talked about how there is really none of the same intriguing storyline in the Alliance that we know of and how it might be needed. Eventually it was brought up that the best possible way of adding that would be to resurrect the Moira Bronzebeard story line. (Quick synopsis Moria is daughter of Brann, she was carrying the love child of Dagran Thaurissan, a dark iron dwarf, This child is the next Ruler of Ironforge). So what if the Dark Irons marched on IF and wanted to be acknowledged by the senate, especially where the Dwarves are getting mages and the only dwarf mages are the Dark Irons. What if Blizzard decided to kill off Brann by the end of the expansion either in a assassination or just some other way.

I kinda do hope that this second fantasy plays out, I want to see some inter-alliance political fighting instead of Lets just play follow the chin. I have been hoping for maybe even a civil war inside each faction to break out for a long time now.

What are you peoples thoughts??

I don't claim to follow the lore of the game closely, but horde really hasn't had any compared to alliance for almost the entirety of WoW, and all of the lore that they have had are people killing off their mens (ex. Zul'Jin, Kael, etc).

That being said, I hope that the retaking of Gnomer has a lot of lore, considering that gnome lore is the only lore I'm remotely interested in besides the Wildhammer, which they're already touching up on in Twilight Highlands and Grim Batol. I think that Wrynn is a massive faggot.

-new raid in BRM to crush the dark iron dwarves to:
--A) stop them from delegitimizing the state
--B) eliminate them so the lighter-skinned dwarves can be the only dwarf mages
-this will all leak to the public
-claims of eugenics will be made
-cataclysm is a metaphor for social revolution

I wonder what that would mean for Ragnaros if this was to happen.

But knowing Blizzard it's a half baked scheme to get us to revisit BRD and have to save her again.

I think the whole Thrall dropping leadership on Garrosh is dumb. I can far better see Thrall giving temporary power to Saurfang than Garrosh.

You'd have to be blind, deaf and stupid to not be aware of fact Garrosh is going to do something bad with power.

The progression of the Moira storyline would be quite exlint. I would like to see opposing views within Ironforge on whether to accept the baby as an heir (as the senate bashes heads with the king), and a conflict between the two kingdoms over the heir.

Saurfang is going to kill Garrosh.

Also kind of iffy on the Bronzebeard thing, mostly becuase Muradin would get brought in. I like him the most out of all the Alliance heroes, don't get me wrong, but the fact that he's alive at all is retarded considering you watched him die as soon as Arthas grabbed Frostmourne.

I'm trying to figure out why the child of Moira would become the heir. Regardless of her status as the daughter of Magni, wouldn't succession pass to his brothers first, even if something bad were to happen to him? I don't think rulership ever skips an entire generation and goes straight to the grandchildren. Kings who die without issue (or in this case male heirs) are replaced by their brothers. Even if Muradin refuses to take the throne and stay a Stormborn or whatever, there's Brann.

Brann, incidentally, is perfectly qualified. He's a totally baller explorer, and kings that go around doing stuff instead of sitting in the throne room aren't without precedent (Wrynn, who isn't close to half the man Brann is). I support an Ironforge under Brann.

Sine the three are brothers it would be able to skip, Moira is technically the heir though she is probably disqualified because she is a woman and that is implied through the quests. To get to the next heir it would go to the first born Male offspring, that would be her baby, so to the fact that they are all descended directly from Mangi, and well Muradin was too busy being dead to have a child, and Brann is to busy playing in the dirt to have a kid.

The other thing to keep in mind is this is not a Monarchy perse, It is a Clan. The dwarven power structure might work a little diffferent then a monarchy.
