I'm particularly fond of what I call a reuben despite it not quite being a reuben. I ditch the sauerkraut and make my own dressing (sorry Russian dressing, take a seat) and use pastrami rather than corned beef. Swiss and rye for the rest. It's delicious.

I'm also fond of turkey and ham with cheese and the right kind of mayo. And sometimes just a salami sandwich. Or prosciutto and butter.

I'm tempted to go to my deli tomorrow for a Homerun.

Grilled chicken, American cheese, peppers and onions and I ask them to put on hot sauce.

Tho, since I'm now sleeping from like 9-3 I will just have to get a breakfast sammich.

When time is not an issue, I like to crush a small amount of fresh garlic into some olive oil, smear that on some bread and put that on a flat grill. I put some swiss on each slice and let the bread get crisp and brown while the cheese melts. I put some horseradish sauce on both pieces (if I didn't get the stuff from the store, I just mix some horseradish and mayo), add some lettuce and tomato, and put some good deli roast beef in it. I spear it with some toothpicks and quarter it, relying on the toothpicks to hold everything together and in place.

Or I go down to the deli a couple of guys from Jersey just opened up here, and tell them to make me a reuben, and tell them to hit it with whichever they think is better that day, the pastrami or the corned beef.

Brush 2 slices of sour dough with butter. Lay one buttered-side down on a panini press (George Foreman grill works), cover with thinly sliced Granny Smith apple, then a layer of crisp bacon, then a slice of Provelone. Put on the top slice of bread, close the press and grill it up. Simple, but daaaamn.

that's actually called a New Yorker. i enjoy those as well. i ditch the russian dressing sometimes and use raspberry vinaigrette. my favorite sandwich is as follows :

get some thick, dense, panini-like bread
italian beef goes on bread
cheddar cheese
grill that mofucka
horseradish goes inside

Subway Tuna on Italian Herb and Cheese Bread, with Melted Pepper Jack Cheese. Add some lettuce, pickles, onions, green peppers, jalapeños and their southwest chipotle sauce. :D

Peanut butter, marshmallows, maple syrup, bacon, sliced bananas on toast is fucking GODMODE.

I like turkey, relish, dijon, swiss cheese, lettuce and a tomato slice as well :D

My dad used to make this thing for me when I was a kid: melted velveeta, crushed pineapples and tomato soup poured open face over toast.

Any one of these motherfuckers will suffice.

Edit: I know some of you bros are from NJ, why has Grease Truck Sandwich not been mentioned yet?

Isn't that a Rutgers thing?
I am more south. We do have "fat sandwiches" here which I think are the same. Sandwiches with French fries, chicken fingers, cereal...well not cereal but just about anything you can imagine. And if you come up with something new and it's good...you get to name it.

Also @Eturnal...mentioning subway in this thread about the glory of sandwiches should get you shot.
