I'm sure someone will pick lettuce or do hard yard work for minimum wage... and if no one will do it for minimum wage then the price of lettuce goes up to pay higher wages.

Make me president. I'll fix this poopy.

1) Give all illegals three months to go home.
2) Build a giant fence with moats, sharks with lazers, barbed wire, auto-turrets and barbed wire. Use National Guard to build the fence along the southern and northern borders.
3) Make 'American English' the national language...
4) After three months, enact a strict immigration policy which indiscriminately checks status of citizens by kicking down doors and checking for birth certificates. Anyone found to be illegal gets imprisonment, fines and permanent denial of even becoming a citizen.
5) Start offering bounty for any illegals in the country.
6) Only accept a specific number of applicants to the country each year. Applicants must speak English, be knowledgeable about customs and have to be able to offer something to the country. Applicant can bring immediate family with them. (Kids and Spouse)

This one has potentially devastating implications for corporations, and there's no reason for them to be exempt when persons are not. It'd have to be more clear or cut entirely. I see what the purpose is, but it's impossible to apply to the intended targets without pissing in everyone else's cheerios.

Really? The right and left can't find enough to bicker about that they have to pick apart something as inane and outdated as the Miss America Pageant? Now, I'm a conservative guy, generally, but to say that Rima Fakih (Arab-American, and *gasp* Muslim) won the 2010 Miss America Pageant because of political correctness is just silly. Still, that's the slant from many right-wingers. The girl is smoking hot, and really the name of this event could be changed to "Which piece of ass does this particular judging panel think is hottest on this night" Pageant, so why shouldn't she w in?

The runner-up? Morgan Elizabeth Woolard, an All-American, apple-pie eating, Christian beauty from Oklahoma! How could she lose? The "fix" must have been on! Um, no, not really. They're both delicious, and Fakih just won. That's it.

Now, the left is attacking Woolard for supporting the right for the State of Arizona to pass immigration legislation they deem necessary in her Q&A segment of the pageant. The right is attacking Fakih's religion/heritage, and digging up video of her winning a pole-dancing contest. If only politicians had to endure the scrutiny that a beauty pageant winner has to...
