Two scenarios
DU come to the server a while back, gradually builds up strength and quietly goes about their business of taking the 2nd or 3rd slot on the server.
TB comes over, mid week and resets raid lockouts, swingin dicks in the air, drives Tempest, who many people horde and alliance side liked for their business like approach and relative lack of drama, to some RP ghostland, and jumps in every thread about progression just to slap dicks some more.
Would you be a fanboy?
DU has had some issues but came in rather quietly where as TB really hit the water like a fat kid off a high dive and the waves are still crashing.

I've heard more than a few mutually corroborating accounts of the guild. Their circle of buddies all sit in officer chat - not only their actual officers, but their core raiders - and anything that doesn't go as it should is clearly the fault of someone who isn't.
They've churned and burned their way through several servers and countless competent raiders who finally got fed up with the favoritism and iron-fisted childishness and moved on.
Don't get me wrong, I don't have a quarrel with the guild or anyone in it. I'm just repeating what I've heard - from many independent and mutually corroborating sources.
Point being, spare us the false humility.
I remember a while back, Seribus made a post about Dissension, saying something along the lines of "if they are arrogant, that's their choice, they've earned the right to be, they're better than you and everyone else on this server". I replied that was a relative and arbitrary judgment and that they weren't extraordinary by the global standards of WoW. I won't lie, it was no small amusement to me when the wheel came full circle.
TB isn't the acme of raiding and only a fool would deny - or assume a pretense of ambiguity - that they didn't come here to get more attempts. But they definitely have a better claim to being "elite" than anyone else. Talking them down because of what they chose to do is as absurd as calling Ensidia bad because they did the same thing a while back, or calling any top ten guild bad because only one of them killed heroic LK with the 10% buff.
It's insane to argue that Tempest's leaving was driven by anything but their own choice - or to be more accurate, that of one man. TB hit the water like a fat kid off the high board. Big deal. Like most drama, the real drama isn't what happened, it's how fools choose to react to it.
They didn't have to leave. They chose to. That choice was no one's responsibility but their own.
EDIT: And to clarify, I'm no one's fanboy. I'm simply stating what I believe is the objective truth. I spared no harsh words for any of the four guilds I mentioned, I have friends in all of them, and I'm not beholden to any of those guilds. I'm just telling it like it is.
