See here's the thing with the "media"

MSNBC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, etc are all biased in one way or another. Here's the difference:

The "liberal" news stations have their biases in specific anchors. IE, a specific anchor will slob Obama's knob. And let's face it, humans are humans, so we all have biases. I wish there were more neutrality, but what can you do.

Fox News, however, has changed the game by making it's entire network biased. Meaning, the bias comes from the top (Rupert Murdoch), and then all of their anchors have to comply with said bias.

A subtle difference, but I think it makes a huge impact on the credibility of the stations. I'm curious as to what stations were running more:

DID OBAMA DO A TABOO THING ON MEMORIAL DAY????

stories? I'd be willing to bet Aestu's tail that little Foxy Newsy ran more.

I'd heard he was the first, didn't check the facts, oopsie my bad.

Still, I call bullshit on him and others. I feel that certain national holidays(memorial day being one of them) should have a little tradition, a little nod from the highest office nodding to those the holiday celebrates. skipping it altogether, whether liberal or conservative, is a kick in the balls.

I won't disagree with you. As the commander in chief, he ought to do these things. However, considering how many other presidents have missed out on it, I feel like people who are getting crazy worked up about it are those who already dislike Obama and his policies and are merely looking for more excuses to bash him/point out why he's a bad president.

Personally, I find the lack of a response/pathetic response to the oil spill, coupled with the continued outrageously uninformed economic decisions being made, to be far more damaging to Obama's presidency than a simple faux pas

Right, but considering he's already under so much pressure, going to Arlington would've been good for his PR.

wouldn't have made much difference, but it would've helped the people's opinion I would think.

Nah, they're going to and they have to care now. Bad Presidential approval ratings = bad congressmen approval ratings = reelection gets harder.

Way to name three crazy fucks and make Obama look sane by comparison.

Could have been worse. We could have been stuck with McCain's dumb ass.

Palin was dumber/scarier than McCain. What I still don't get is that, it was an obvious attempt to cater to the moderate female vote, yet he picked someone that sent most moderate women running to the Obama camp. Why didn't he pick someone like Olympia Snowe?

She probably would've gotten him elected.

She can see Russia from her house....so she thinks an expert on foreign policy.

She quit being a Governor because she wanted to join Fox News and be on TV more.

She was one of the champions of "drill baby, drill!!" (take a look at the gulf...that offshore drilling really has turned out well, right?)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rXmuhWr ... re=related

After talking about Roe V Wade (which she gives a pretty awful answer in the first place...) Katie Couric asks:

"What other supreme court decisions do you disagree with?"

"Hmm....well...let's see...Of course in the great history of America there have been rulings that uh, there's never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are those issues...again like Roe V Wade...that I believe are best held on a state level."

Yeah, she's a fucking moron. Asshat can't even name another supreme court decision.

Palin also can't name one newspaper she reads.

She didn't even know what the fuck the Bush Doctrine was.

That woman was almost vice president of these United States....yeah, I'd say she is both dumber and scarier than McCain (because of aforementioned stupidity).

For the record, I liked McCain and was pretty torn on who to vote for...until he picked Palin and I saw what a completely retarded person she was...and that was it for me....McCain was way to old and feeble to have a running mate who was so uninformed. I shudder at the mere thought of Palin becoming the president...like it literally scares the shit out of me.

Baited and hooked. I figured you, like most others, would simply regurgitate what you've heard as reasons why you don't like Sarah Palin and, even worse, champion for Obama when he does the same things.

Tina Fey said she can see Russia from her house. Sarah Palin said you could see Russia from Alaska.

How does this make her stupid?

You're right. President Obama, although didn't say, "Drill Baby, Drill", expanded drilling in the Gulf (and other places). Also, didn't Obama give BP a safety award in 2009? Also, don't forget there are ,thousands (Maybe tens of thousands), of oil and gas platforms in waters and off our coast. Drilling over water has been going on for over a century... and with the number of rigs in operation, I'd say there has been a pretty soild track record for the operation.

Still, if you're against the expanding of drilling, then perhaps you should stop driving, using products of plastic, oils, electricity, anything not produced locally, etc... since oil is used in every step of our lives...

Her answer to RvW was fine: She thinks it should be decided by the states and not Federally mandated. So, the best you have so far is she couldn't name another supreme court decision? She didn't go to law school, Azelma. Honestly, I couldn't tell you many Supreme Court decisions since I'm not into PoliSci or Law... I'm sure many here would agree with me, too.

Perhaps this was a calculated move? Maybe she didn't want to actually show a bias or offend papers she most likely doesn't read. If you're an editor of the NYT, would you be more likely to run a bad press story against Sarah Palin if you knew she didn't read your paper? I don't see how this makes her stupid, either. Politicians dodge questions. That's all she did. Doesn't make her stupid.

Azelma wrote:

And you thought Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her house.

I have a theory and you may fall in line with it: Unattractive and not-so successful women are jealous of Sarah Palin because she's attractive and successful...

Edit: So you don't like Palin and didn't vote for McCain because Palin is stupid... so I'm guessing you voted for Obama because Biden is a genius? O lawd, so funny.
