Currently a Teacher while my kids are small. I teach everything from Calculus to Physics to PE :P I am planning on restarting my Ph.D. program next fall.

I have a BA in Government, History, Economics and a minor in German from the University of Redlands.

I am also a SAHM. This is a real challenge for an academic like myself. I am used to being geeky and having someone clean up after ME, not vice versa.

Currently in my fifth (and hopefully final) year of my PhD in entomology. I rollled up from the master's program, so this is actually more or less on schedule. Supported by government largesse. Assuming I get a post-doc immediately (which seems doubtful at this point), I may be able to start looking for permanent employment by the time I'm 30.

Previous jobs include landscaping and surveys for breeding birds.

I work in warehouse at Logan Airport

Trucks back in, I off load them, Weigh, Dim, and Check for explosives.

I set the cargo up for the flight.

Then I take all the cargo and the bags, plus the passengers input it into my nifty little computer that calculates the weight and balance, and I send that off to the ramp.

I used to be the one on the ramp who would receive the freight and load it on to the aircraft, but I have moved up in life.

2 years away from getting my BCompSc

Did development for some retail POS stuff for 2 years

Currently doing an internship at a bigger Telecomm company regarding web development. Mostly doing basic testing stuff right now that I could do as a 14 year old with basic internet knowledge, I definitely got the short end of the stick talking to other interns. If it was a real job and stayed like this for another month or two I would be out of here so fast. But it's an internship so worst comes to worst I'll just float around and surf the internet for another 3 months while getting paid, but that's not really my ideal situation.

I graduated from the Universidad of Auckland a number of years ago (can't remember when this was) with a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in History and Politics, and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Tax. Or Accounting. I'm not sure which box i ticked, but the papers i did could apply to either specialisation so it's a moot point.

I currently take pices of paper from a tray and put them into folders in numerical order. As well as some other crap. But this is my most time consuming task.

Here's an example of my desk at work after i haven't done any filing in a week or 2:

I take pictures of things at work for shits and giggles. Gotta amuse oneself somehow rite?

I fucking hate those clowns, too. They come down here getting in the way, driving even worse than the cockmunchers from Maryland...who are also worthy of loathing. May the all die slowly while buzzards pick them apart.

When not starring in porn flicks, dismantling nuclear warheads in midair while plummeting out of an airplane, beating up Chuck Norris and Jackie Chan at the same time or kicking foreign dignitaries in the vagina for laughs, I can be found at my nightstocking job at Lowe's.

when i was in college some friends of mine bet me 1000 dollars that i couldn't work as a lowes truck unloader for a month. since then, i have been a paramedic/firefighter, a US army infantry medic, and a nurse and i can say without a doubt, that was the absolute hardest job i have ever done. bar none. it's terrible how horrible you blue collar product receiving types get paid. i lost the thousand dollars btw. quit after 2 weeks.

Verily, I have often laughed at weaklings who thought themselves proud because they had no claws.

Let's see, I graduated from the Ohio State University in December 2009. Currently I'm working for a small business called Best Online Universities.

We basically do online lead generation for universities through the many web sites we have.

Boring yes, but it pays the bills!

Went to college at UKY for a few years, didn't like it. Made lots of pizzas.

Got tired of pizza, got a contract job at Lexmark running performance tests for the printer network stack.

Got released from Lexmark contract, did help desk stuff to pay the bills. Hated it.

Got sick of helpdesk, helped a friend start an ISP. Became president and co-owner.

ISP doesn't pay enough, moved to RTP to work at NetApp. Currently running the support center's lab.

Next up: conning Rikkilake into cutting my grass for the rest of the summer so I don't have to.

It's a source of pride to me, to an extent..the difficulty and demanding nature of the job. I know it flat out sucks, but I do it because the money is relatively decent for my level of education (HS Diploma, knocked up my woman a few years too early so college is out for present time)

But I'm not strictly unloader...I unload on really rough two truck nights, particularly when we are shortstaffed due to 'my-vagina-hurts-itis' aka laziness and there was a party to go to...then once done unloading I also work the freight. We're expected as a company wide standard to move two pallets an hour. It never happens, but we do need to bust ass to get it all done.

It is a very physically tiring job, coupled with an asshole manager (moreso than any of the others in my location...downright verbally abusive and constantly has a chip on his shoulder), and due to it being overnights yes it gets tiring as fuckall.

But I'm not complaining, I do enjoy many aspects of it.

I have worked in quite a few fields.

When I was 16 started in the ol' bag boy position, worked for about a year, quit and moved over to Checkers. Haha 3 days late I quit. Became a typist for a Title Insurance Company. Learned how to be what they call an 'Examiner'. Which is a fancy way of saying searches property records :)

After the housing market dropped out (I was self employed contract worker) had to get a real job. Did over the phone help desk IT work for about a year and a half. Now I am in the engineer field. I can't really put my finger on exactly what I am responsible for because my boss brings me what he needs done and I help out when I hear something interesting. Pretty good sized company in St. Pete with another office in PHX Arizona.

I guess the closest I could say to any IT field would be a networking engineer. As well as a software developer :)
