I love how aestu is convinced that everyone who doesn't migrate to a top what ever guild is not skilled enough to compete with said guilds on an individual level(maby because he cant?)... I pretty much see alot of fights that are harder mechanic wise then LK(norm or hard) alot of it comes down to the timers thing, if you stick your nuts to your DXE/ DBM/ whatever its not that bad at all. There is no SUPRISE moments in that fight(or most others in wrath IMO). And you keep coming back to the plague witch is but fuck easy to "handle"... I mean if you are having problems with that then maby the fight is hard... for you...

And as far as KT goes, FFS its so so so much easier in WRATH as alot of fights are simply for the fact that healing /tanking(threat wise atleast) is so so so much easier, I mean PreBC FoL was the shit for RAID healing...

i've seen some top rated guilds' rogues that make very questionable gemming/gearing choices. saw one wearing 264 T10 pants and the ikfirus sack and was massively overcapped on exp, when they could have easily fixed that and increased their dps by getting the crafted legs (or any number of other options, but crafted means no RNG and they're second BiS).

being in the best guild doesn't mean you're the best player.

No - most middle of the road guilds have a few exceptional players. Contrary to popular belief, top guilds have full rosters of exceptional players, and they're there for a reason. By and large though, basically no one is better than the game.

Yeah the encounter is hard. It's hard for me and it's hard for everyone in this thread. God forbid we should admit something is hard for us. This isn't World of Toshiro Mifune and we have to commit self-disembowelment lest we admit something is hard.

But I guess for some of us this game really is a way of life and we're not up to facing the challenge of a new day having been bested by an encounter in a video game, or even accepting its a possibility.

i'll readily admit it's hard. hell, regular LK is hard, in that it does have a large number of moving pieces (even if none of those moving pieces are hard in their own right, the cumulative effect is a challenging encounter... it definitely has a learning curve).

the hardest to date? far from convinced.

i doubt it's harder than yogg was.

definitely not harder than a lot of stuff in vanilla naxx was at the time of its release. hell, there was trash in naxx that was as hard to most guilds as regular LK is.

edit: i'm not even going to bother anymore. it's like arguing with a wall, you're going to believe what you want to believe, no matter what is said and it's just a waste of time.

Grim, going off what experience i have gained in raiding thus far, with all the boss fights included....

KT40 was and always will be the hardest fight.

at 70 with 25 people we still only managed to get 3 kills of him w/ RBD and fwiends tanking and DPSing in sunwell gear.....not due to retardism, just due to how hard and annoying that fight was.

LK is w/e, yet to do it prolly will later this week.

and aestu if you refute this post, i believe that the whole of this conversation will (if it already has not) just turn into myself and other just posting:

NUH UH

and you posting

UH HUUUUH

if it already has not.

Old school will always have more difficult fights in terms of mechanics and such mainly due to the fact that after Naxx, blizzard said and i quote:

"Fuck it, raiding is too hard, tailor it for casuals and make content something retardedly easy."

Edit: just realized i don't think Aestu has done KT40 at 60 or at 70, considering most of his toon's were made post Vanilla and such....so someone just link Aestu's retort to Dek on the easiness of HLK25 and replace a few words.

The sheer amount of downs with Kingslayer title proves it imo.

Alright, yes, believe what you want. Discussion closed.

For what it's worth, H LK will be even more unzergable at 85 than KT was at 80. Good luck managing disease and defile and adds and Frostrmourne room; those will still all be completely raid-wiping.

Retards aren't holding you back any more than any other encounter, RNG clearly isn't holding the best guilds back, there's no attunement and you have the same gear.

Like I said...you say it's so easy...go kill it. It's that simple.

there is a hole in your comparison large enough to roll kamguh through.

edit: no need to argue against this post, because a) it's true and b) it was 90% just an excuse to call kamguh fat.
