So, I was looking through my locks bank and bags last night trying to make space. I have all 20 slot bags, yes I know there are 22s available but Im not paying that much for two bag slots. 90% of whats in my bank is soulbound items like tabbards, brewfest mugs, various holiday outfits, and a shitload of old school items (felheart armor and such). Not to mention pvp armor. I disenchanted as much stuff as I could bear to part with and I use the mail system for buff food, flask and potions, and other non binding items.

Does anyone have any advice? I will try to post a screenshot later, I was just trying to see if I was the only one having this problem or not.

I have nine alts and what pretty much amounts, at this point, to my own personal guild bank.

I have fourteen alts (alliance, and about 5 more horde) and two 3 tab guild banks. The issue I am having is being forced to part with soulbound items that are more for show than anything else. The 20 or so tabbards piss me off to no end since they should show up on a character tab rather than taking up all of my bank space.

I'm with you there. I got rid of most of my old soulbound stuff. I don't remember why, but I was thinking, "This is not the best use of this space, and I honestly don't pull this out and wear/use it much anymore."

Seriously, though, they should add a wardrobe or something in the tailor shops in the cities for storing your old rags and tabards.

I believe in Cataclysm tabards will work like mounts/pets. Atleast that is what i heard. The wardrobe idea is pretty nice too. They could have a holiday clothing vendor or something. If you ever buy or get a piece of holiday clothing the vendor always has it for you. Kinda like the tabard vendors in major cities.

Yep, don't be a warlock and you'll gain 20-24 bag slots.

I just keep one vanilla armor set (2.5) and one TBC armor set (6). I don't have any problems.

EDIT:
Why the fuck do people have so many alts? Levelling blows and I keep myself to 2 80s (chances are my DK will be deleted to make way for my shaman come xpac).

Alts are nothing more than a burden when people discover you're good at them.

I like versatility and I enjoy leveling. However, there are times that I wish I still just had my lock and rogue or lock and pally at most with 8 bank alts full of gold. I have leveled toons just to have professions available.

Go have a look at the tabard vendor in Dalaran (near the south bank) and see which tabards are sold. Then feel free to delete any of those from your bank unless you plan on wearing them often. Keeping only the random ones you've acquired that aren't sold by the vendor will free up space, plus they won't be removed from your achievement progress if you're working on the tabard one.

Delete all the crap PVP armor you don't wear when you PVP, seriously evaluate which of your old armor/holiday larp sets are worth holding on to forever. I had several sets of gear from previous tiers and even earlier sets from wotlk I didn't even realize I was still carrying around. I even had old resist sets from TBC. I deleted/vendored the things that I knew I would never, ever use again-- with the exception of my TBC tailored gear because the amount of time/effort/materials/gold I had to spend on that shit makes me want to keep it forever. I also kept my full T6 + various sunwell items because that set was the best priest set ever. But you get the general idea here.

Any other items you have that aren't bop should be moved to either an alt with lots of space or a dedicated bank toon with guild bank tabs purchased.

It makes everything so much easier.

Following up on Akiina:

Yeah, move all your BoEs out of the bank. Use the mail system or the gbank. Also, you can safely destroy any BoPs that have an achievement linked to them - such as the mugs - because GMs are usually more lenient on restoring those, as you have proof of having owned them. Destroy anything you can obtain easily, such as T1 or T7. Also destroy all obsolete PvP gear - if it's not 245 or better, or if it's stuff from Wintergrasp you can easily buy again, it's not worth holding onto.

I don't recommend destroying resist gear or odd trinkets. Never know!

The question you should be asking yourself is, if leveling blows so much, why the fuck would you delete your 80s when you've still got like 6 slots for new characters? That doesn't make any fucking sense.

Obviously Dek, King of Deletion, has been talking to him.
