My step mother was telling me a tale the other day, about a job she had when she was younger.

It was in a chicken farm, and she was hired to catch the chickens and bring them to the semi-truck to take them to the butcher.

Each chicken pen consists of a floor of chicken wire. Now as you may know, chicken wire isn't going to hold up a person. So there is pairs of 2x4's running across length and width to stand on.

Now, if you know anything about chickens, they don't want a fucking thing to do with you. They generally fight, and always run away.

Now, if you're not careful, or just plain unlucky, and you accidentally step on the chicken wire and fall through...

... you end up knee deep in chicken shit. A scathing, bubbling pool of fowl feces. (Get a good strong image yet Zaryi?)

So did I mention it's also kinda hot in here, and there is literally a pool of shit right under your feet? Imagine that smell.

She lasted 2 days.

ITT:

The worst job you've ever had.

"Ok we aren't such things and birds are pretty advanced. They fly and shit from anywhere they want. While we sit on our automatic toilets, they're shitting on people and my car while a cool breeze tickles their anus. That's the life."

Not a job that I got paid for, but volunteering at the food bank once I spent the day sorting bins of mostly-rotten potatoes. I could still smell them for days.

Best Buy computer sales. You want to sell the customer a good computer but he company wants you to push some giant box of shit because the vendor give a kickback. Plus you have 37 different options of extended warranties and the one that you believe to be best is not the one that the company wants you to sell. And oh by the way, they change the sales plan and product layout pretty much weekly. You may not literally be, but you feel like you are knee deep in shit all day. I am so glad I left that place when I did.

This. So many times (I worked for CC) we were required to push unnecessary bullshit to drive sales, I felt so bad for the customers that ate up all that unneeded overpriced crap.

loading and unloading truckloads cement blocks in the middle of summer. not the small ones, either. i didn't mind the heavy/constant lifting as much as i should've, hell i still do something close to it now. doing it in fucking 90 degree or hotter weather though is completely unbearable.

I work at UPS and do this all day. :) Were you unloading box car trucks or actual semi trailers? Hogs? Got my trusty 1 gallon water 'bottle' with me during the summer.

I had that job one summer while helping my dad out when i was 16, I live in Phoenix so it was like 110+ pretty much everyday. I actually saw a few guys (newbies like me) faint from heat exhaustion which was new for me at the time. Course my dad gave me a beer to help out which surprisingly it did.

yeah i worked at Best Buy in the music/video games department. i was forced to suggest terrible bands and music to people because they were chart toppers. also, they always wanted to me sell tons of useless shit on top of systems because they were third party companies who sold low to BB. like individual plastic cases for your discs. 25 dollars for 5 of them.

Verily, I have often laughed at weaklings who thought themselves proud because they had no claws.
