It's an upgrade to my old Treo. Of course being able to use the mobile AH is nice, but it was going to happen anyway; my Treo was having power issues and was never very satisfactory in many ways.
I really don't like the Motorola Droid. It seems very overdesigned, too complex, too much functionality. It runs warm to the touch which makes me wary about reliability/safety issues. It does not use a stylus, so I must handle the touch screen with my hands, which means I either have to wash my hands constantly or do preventative maintenance. It comes with a retarded number of programs and icons that I'll never use and get in the way.
Questions:
1. Can I configure the Droid to use a stylus, or is there some sort of expendable protection available for the screen?
2. How do I remove the unwanted icons and programs from the menu?
3. Anything else I should know about it?

Start there, there may or may not be any links to another site where a lot of the modding is done. If you wanna remove the apps you'll probably need to root your phone and probably need to mod it, needless to say it'll void your warranty.
I was getting 5-6 hours out of a battery on my phone before root.
Now I get 12+, it's actually useful.
I would've picked up the Evo/Nexus One over the Droid. It's alright but certainly not the best.
