my policy is simple: pull aggro off me on a mob, no problem. pull aggro on the same mob 3 seconds later because you didn't even let it finish running back to me so i could generate more threat on it? well, we'll res you when we're done.

I have a macro on my dk that says "You Pull It, You Tank It." Ill be nice for one or two times but if you consistently pull after I've exhausted my taunts then eff you tank it and die :)

That's one thing I don't get...what's so hard about attacking the same target the tank is attacking? I've grouped with people who simply don't get it.

I like this thread

-"lfm ICC25 5.6k GS minimum"

-Other guilds application response. I am a member of several BH guild forums and many of those have public application process. I have noticed a few (one in particular that I shall not name) that is just consistently nasty to those who apply. "LOL no experience, bad gear. LOL noob". I have seen some of this guild's applications turn into just e-fighting when the members of the guild post with just hateful critiques of the app. It bothers me very much, and yes I know, I can just STOP READING them. So it is sort of like I enjoy irritating myself maybe.

-DPS who pull trash in raids, or even in heroics. I tank in half dps gear for my daily dungeon (the once a month I do them) and have seen this happen all the time. I don't really care if you think my gear is good enough to pull quickly, I pull at my pace, which is usually several mob groups at once, etc. Nothing that could be considered slow. But just because we are moving fast, doesn't mean that you, as a dps'er, should run ahead and grab some more. I will let you die every single time.

-Classes with threat drops that do not use them, even when off cd. In our guild raids, this never happens, but in pugs I see it all the time. Epeen dps burst is not going to mean anything when the raid boss liquifies you for pulling threat. I will often cancel any call for brez that they ask for if a dps does this repeatedly.

-Back seat raid leading. The people who lead ICC25 (at least most of them) have done the fights before. It is incredibly annoying to have someone else in vent calling shit out. Especially on LK when people may not have seen the fight before. I tend to call out 3 seconds before defile everytime, so someone else calling it out, even a second late or early, can wipe the raid pretty quickly. This really only came up once or twice several weeks ago.

-Tanks who gem and enchant for full stam. "Check that out, 70k hp!" It is terribly irritating and just shows a lack of understanding of your classes main vs sub stats. The next time I see +22 stam on warrior boots I am going to scream.

-People who call out other raiders in vent over their dps/hps. Probably my biggest pet peeve. It is the raid leaders job to make sure everyone is pulling their own weight, and even before that it is their job to make sure everyone is geared/experienced/enchanted/gemmed properly so that they can contribute equally to the raid. Some asshole rogue making fun of another rogue because they are 1kdps lower is incredibly irritating. I had that happen with a hunter a couple weeks ago in my saturday pug. For the rest of that raid the hunter was on bitch MD/trap/add duty. He didn't speak in vent again.

-People who try to bypass gear check and sneak their way into a raid. I have gone out on a limb a few times to bring in some slightly undergeraed people to my saturday iccpug, and everytime it has worked out well because I knew the people on their mains and knew they could contribute at their highest potential. Having someone try to trick me with fake achievements or pst me with stats they do not have, is just foolish. The raid leaders who pug ICC25 (again, MOSt of them) know what to look for and have pugged before. You are only making yourself look stupid by not being honest.

-Those who whine about not winning an item. "Well my dps was 1k higher than his, I deserve DFO not him". It's just loot man. It's just a game. It makes me sad when people get so upset about that stuff that it ends up ruining their game experience, and most of the time ruins the fun for others as well.

-People with geared main characters who expect to be let into pug raids with their alts and carried.

-"inv I'm in Tempest". This used to happen quite a bit and when I would talk to Snuss about it he would laugh and tell me the person was not even a main raider. Guild pride is one thing, guild arrogance is quite another.

This is all I could think of for now.
I do like the one that someone posted ( I think Jubber) about how people think its cool that they smoke pot and feel the need to tell everyone in trade. Really irritating so o/ on that one.

I will think of some more I am sure and post them up

This.

I confess, I used to attach so much value to certain guild tags. If I was making a PuG, if you had <Dissension> or <Royal Militia> etc. under your name...it was an auto-invite from me.

Well, after a while I found out it was the old 80/20 rule. Yes, 80% of the people with said tag would know what was going on and it would be fine.

That 20%....oh that 20%....after a few very very bad eggs, I learned the error of guild arrogance.

this x99999999999999999999999999

I don't really play anymore but I can not count the amount of times while gearing alts that i'd run into tanks with 30k hp that were quite literally fucking sponges with nothing for threat/avoidance who thought they were hot shit.

I know I gem pure stamina because it synergizes with blood so well because of DS heals to keep my survival up. Beyond that for DK tanks, most of our threat is generated based on our weapon.

I don't know if you read the Tempest forums regularly, but we (and by "we" I don't really include myself) are a bunch of unrepentant douchebags when it comes to people who don't read the gigantic sticky at the top of the screen and feel they have the right not to fill out half the required sections. I'll have the decency to speak to you like you're a human being when you have the decency to learn how to read, applicant!

True fact, I had to app to get into Hero Squad ;]

It's particularly notable (to me, anyway) because I didn't app to get into Tempest, and that was back when Tripler was GM.

Haha the best part about your app was the two weeks prior of fltwd constantly whispering to me in vent "Henq, legends don't app"
<3 you and I miss fltwd, :(
At least he got on Forests last week to chat.

I can totally understand the impatience when it comes to people not filling out the app properly, especially when there is a stickied guide for them to follow. I do remember some of the Tempest application responses being particularly harsh. Not all though

Primor thinks they might come back to BH when the season ends. Here's hoping.

It'll be a cold, cold day in hell. Okay, I'm gonna stop breaking my own rules and quit veering into off-topic.
