i don't know what bh's trade chat is like anymore...but on cho'gall, if you don't take up at least 4-5 lines in trade chat it won't be seen because of all the lfg/lfm/lfx spam...

mine usually looks like this if i have any hope of getting into a group or finding people:

I understand the theory of what you are saying. However, I do not agree with it. Based on past experience on bleeding hollow, those people that reserve one piece of loot "DBW reserved" are the raids I tend to avoid. With a few minor exceptions of people I know and trust. I have heard several times where the RL who reserved dbw was upset when it didn't drop, and disbanded the raid. I have also seen a raid leader get mad that it didnt drop and instead take one of the tier tokens. Reserving loot, in my mind, is a selfish act. I do understand your logic but I think it is flawed as far as how people actually behave in game. Even worse are the pugs who state "Reserving one piece from Kel-Thuzad. Will let you know when I see the drops." I remember those pugs from back in the day and they were always below par.

i've been avoiding groups with leaders that try to reserve loot since we were forming pugs for UBRS. even if it's not something i need. it just betrays a frame of mind that i don't like.

i mean, best of luck if you want to form a group like that and go get that certain piece, and can get a group to take you to get it. but i won't be in it.

The new retardation that I see late-night/early-morning are the potheads that randomly insert a "..." into their sentences. That just screams "DOWNS BABY."

They aren't generally spamming for PuGs, but they're still fairly retarded.

I was called something along the lines of a douchebag ninja faggot because I locked healing power to gloves in aq40.

I was really amazed by the response I got.

It scares me that these kids are our future.

I agree with some of the posters that your "avoid these players" seems to be a bit superfluous/overblown and probably detracts from it being considered a true "guide" (which should be quite objective, without conjecture).

However, I think the guide itself, where you discuss the specific HOW-TO's is excellent.

I wear a Brawler's Harness still. I never got a black swashbuckler's shirt made for my warrior, and most plate chests have sleeves anyway.

Asylu, I would just give up. It's obvious that you're attempting to win a losing battle. I don't know you personally, but if anyone would disrespect me, I would just let it go, because you'll end up wasting too much energy trying to argue with someone like Aestu.

Oh, and it seems that he also posts on MMOChampion. It seems like he can't get enough self-gratification, I guess.

The first is rather trivial, but important to me. I am, in fact woman. I am well aware that the male pronoun is the most commonly used due to social conventions and I am not upset, just correcting that as being called a guy is a small pet peeve of mine.

And women making this point to me is one of my pet peeves. Women who point out that you used the wrong pronoun are invariably dramamongering *-*****s.

I honestly do not care about your gender. At all. I don't care what gender you are any more than I care what race you are or what country you're from or what you do for a living. All I care about is your level of ability.

But if you need to remind me of your gender - or actually care what pronoun someone uses to refer to you online - there's probably a reason why...

It's a hobby for hardcores, too. They just take a different attitude towards it.

Is self-gratification wrong?

EDIT: And yes I recognize the Jewish idiom. However, this isn't life's affairs.
