participate in something I am interested in? I was chatting with Aestu, and his incoming freedom makes me envious. If any of you have read one of my doojnews editions, a common theme is to go out and do stuff. Life is about making stories, and stories come from action. Combine that with some interesting personalities on our forums, and we maybe could have some fun.

Would you participate if there was an assigned activity for a designated time? These would be simple in concept, but possibly alien to you. Some of the activities would really suck for some of you, but that's sort of the point. Possible examples: Get permission from 5 strangers to take their photograph (then post them here), or, dine at an unfamiliar restaurant that serves Vietnamese or Indian or go to a tavern to buy a drink for the first person at the bar or visit an open air market or go to a church service (not your faith)...whatever. The idea would be to create experiences that might be unfamiliar in order to make stories to relate to everyone here. We could try one of these every couple of weeks. With enough participation, it could be fun. So... would you do it?

Those who would, so far.. <3

Maybe, if I could complete some objectives while on my way to, or from, the office.

I went to a lesbian bar/club once. A group of people I knew wanted to go. One chick wanted to see if she could get "picked" up.

The bartender was a super-flamer, he thought I was sexy.

Needless to say I got free drinks.

The butch girls there looked so mannish that until they took off their shirts you couldnt tell, unless you crocodile dundee'ed em.

I saw someone from a gym that I used to go to, she stared at me.

The next day I was in the gym and she stared some more. She didnt say anything to me.

I'd be interested in this, although it would definitely take some courage to do certain things...as I'm typically shy at times.

Why do I think you live in Jersey?
Was the place Paradise in Asbury Park?
Pretty popular gay bar (well actually it's a hotel bar/club) on the beach

I am interested in doing this. Not much really makes me shy as I am more of an outgoing person but would absolutely contribute if it would strengthen the activity for the group.

Rofl Henq, I actually went to eat at the place across the way (on the Boardwalk) from Paradise last Wednesday.

I'm glad to see the interest. If we can get 10-12 involved, maybe this would grow and be a blast. Being outgoing, shy or somewhere in between, having an assigned goal will make it easier, I think, but could still be cool to do something that might be out of character for you. And knowing the others are doing it too will help you follow through. Not all of these things will require interaction with any other people. Some will be quite easy, and will be included simply for the experience.

This is sort of like the bucket list, Meowth, but much simpler. Typically, these things will be uncomplicated, and not require you to risk your life, travel, spend large sums of money or contract STD's. ;P Most bucket lists have things like: see the Great Wall of China, learn a new language, skydive, etc. We'll be focusing on things near us that maybe we overlook.

Jersey smells funny. Jersey girls are hot tho.

I live in the people's republic of Merlin (Maryland).

I'd theoretically do it.
