Bliz customer service comes through again!

THIS is why I'm not playing Cata.

I like the part where he says "go call billing" (read: spend an hour or two on hold before they hang up on you or you walk away). Or the part where he claims it's not possible to do what eventually gets done. Insulting.

DK server transfer: $25
Mage server transfer: $25
Warrior server transfer: $25
Warrior faction change: $30

Total spend on this hobby that I still enjoy: $1,209.23

My hobby before WoW was billiards. I played in two leagues around town at local bars and pool halls. I spent an average of 20$ a night on myself for food and beer because they were conveniently timed around the time most people would be eating dinner. League dues were not much, maybe 50$ a season with seasons lasting 3 months or so with tournaments at the end. My wife prefered to go but leave early becasue all of the smoke bothered her so she would eat and watch for a while and then head home to the tune of about ten bucks or so.

One season = 1200+ dollars in food, beer, and fees.

Since we did not have kids yet this was fun money that we would have spent somewhere. In the four or so years I have played WoW I have spent about the same as I did in three months playing pool. Oh, not to mention the pool stick that is worth about 300$ used that I bought from a guy I used to work with for 100$. But I still have it so we could call it an investment, lol.

The moral of the story is tha tno matter how much you think WoW cost, it is actually a cheap hobby to have.

9 level 90s and 10 85s, Damn I need another hobby.

I always find that if I am polite and cooperative with the GMs, they always give me what I want without any headaches. Maybe be nicer instead of being a know-it-all? Maybe he was new.

You never know, but being nice can take you far. Then again, you are the same person who wanted to outbid me on Thori'dal even though you would not have received the FoS... you buttface.

The scene of some dick who thinks he's entitled to the world at a restaurant because he paid $12 for a burger keeps running through my head.

^ This.

If I were the GM I'd be tempted to tell you to go fuck yourself.

I asked nicely and didn't get what I paid for.

I asked not so nicely and it was in my hands 30 seconds later.

What was the logic in not fixing it the first time I asked?
What did being nice get me?

Being nice got me a pleasant conversation (and his blessing to take our time) with a cop who was originally gonna tell me and my drunk lady-friend to leave a park that had been closed since 5 hours prior.

1. You aren't paying for use of the park
2. The law says you shouldn't be in the park
3. You received a positive response when you asked nicely

Make no mistake, I really do prefer asking nicely. After all, that's what I did initially, wasn't it? I'm just a lot less inhibited than most people in pulling out the metaphorical baseball bat when being nice doesn't work in getting me what I am entitled to.

Oh I realize fully this can't really hold up against your position, just that being nice occasionally works. I'm just bad at being unpleasant.

if you asked nicely, there is no evidence of it in your screen shots. Also, remaining nice throughout the conversation is seemingly absent. All I see is someone taking the mick out of another person who is trying to help. You are more than welcome to insist that you be helpd rather than spend hours on the phone - but as I'm sure you know, many times it is not what you say but rather how you say it.

Demanding will almost never get you what you want from someone else. You're lucky that his job was probably on the line and he was unable to tell you off. But that's no reason to think that you are superior to someone else.

I was nice to you every time we spoke in game. You super tanked my BTs, but had I not asked in a respectful manner I doubt you would have come. I also asked if you were rolling on thoridal and when you said yes I did not create a shit storm but rather ran my own Sunwell.

I was rewarded.

We're all humans. You will get your blasted pets soon enough. Just shut up and wait.

[/rant] I honestly don't know why I found this particularly insulting.

No man... even though I'm never even going to actually use it for anything other than boner points, I don't want my pet tomorrow, not the day after. I NEED IT RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

have you ever worked retail or customer service? either way, totally with you on this one fanty fant fant. i chemically cannot be a poop to people in a customer service role.

ladyfan hates cops and has had about a thousand bad experiences with cops to fuel that hatred. i've been pulled over about 6 times in several states and stopped by cops 2-3 times while just being out on a walk, and i've never had a bad experience with police. even if i've been speeding, because i was polite, understanding and cooperative, they've never given me a physical warning or ticket, if only because it's just so refreshing to pull someone over who doesn't start with "I WASN'T DOING NOTHING MENG".

traffic moves so much more effectively and safely when errant drivers arent trying to cut others off to get to taco bell faster.

Fast as easy, young child able do.

let's put things in perspective for a moment.

You own nothing in this game. The money you spend in or on WoW is for the rental of flags in a database, which in turn are just a magnetic state of a hard drive platter.

One massive wipeout of that data, coupled with faulty backups would render your investment and your time useless.

How big of a shit fit would you have then, I wonder?

Step back and reread what you posted and wrote. You're a drain on society. You seek your own enjoyment and pleasure at the expense of others. Instead of realizing that the person on the other end of your conversation is doing a job you're incapable of doing, you lambast them with your assumptions and direct them on how to do their job because you feel a sense of entitlement.

You played the xenophobe card.
You played the "i can press enter between my thoughts while this guy forms full and complete sentences for greater comprehension" card.
You argued about the actual coding of a system you couldn't possibly grasp.
You called the other person who was going to take over your ticket an "it".

Keep paddling.
