I'm certainly not defending Mel Gibson here, in any way, but I detest it when someone takes a conversation that one party believes to be private then broadcasts it to the world. I wonder what things she might have said to him if she had not known the tape was running. This way, she can manipulate the conversation to make herself look better. Was Mel emotionally batshit and possibly drunk? Yep. But people say some of the worst things to the people closest to them because those people can hurt them the most and break them down emotionally. Should he pay for hitting her? If he did, yes absolutely. Is she a fucking douche bag for releasing this to the media? She sure is. If she felt she needed to give this to the police for her safety, fine. The media? No. Can any of you think of any conversations, phone calls, chats or emails that you'd hate to have the world hear/read? Yeah, me too. Reminds me of those tapes where Alec Baldwin lost his mind screaming at his daughter and when Roger Clemens taped that conversation with his ex-trainer trying to set him up in the steroids scandal. It's bullshit.

I'll agree it was way low of her to release this to the media.

However, I can see why she taped him (death threats "ill put you in a rose garden" "i'm capable of it") and if he did hit her, which he basically admitted to

"you fucking deserved it"

I couldn't listen to the whole thing. He sounded so upset I can't stand Mel Gibson, but I do think that his ex was unfairly manipulating the situation. She knew it was being recorded and made darn sure that she didn't say ANYTHING bad, which magnifies how bad he sounded.

Taping the convo and leaking it to the media made me believe Gibson's allegations that she was trying to extort money from him. It also made me believe he is nuts. I also don't really care about celebrity BS, so I normally am clueless to this stuff
