Witte Museum, I used to work there. SAMA. There is a place downtown with a bunch of weird shit too, like a curiosity shop with two headed lambs. Buckhorn Saloon or something? Not sure if that counts as a museum though. But SAMA and the Witte definitely do!

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Are you closer to Austin or way out south or west from SA? The Texas Natural Science Center at UT is free. If you're near any other universities like in Corpus or San Marcos you can probably find a free museum there too.

I have been to most of the museums by my house except for the one I really want to go to, so this will be my opportunity. My kids have been but I will take them again the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. I worked for a train and hobby store for years and never went to the museum since I worked every weekend.

My daughters and I go to the Chickamauga Battlefield Museum pretty much any time I am off during the week. Since I work for the city government I am off any time they are out of school so we go for daddy day out. I really did not imagine my girls would like old guns so much, lol.

Since we're going to new experiences, I'd say the Galapagos would certainly qualify there, Darwin. Of course, I'd be quite interested in a rundown of your trip. :D

I live in Floresville, Texas. It's uh... South East of San Antonio.

I'm off to the museum. GOOTHADS! Have a great day, all!

p.s. Needhelp, if you can't get to it, put together that genealogy stuff you asked me about in and earlier thread, and send it to [email protected] . I'll help you with that for your "something new" to do. :D

Sure, i need to go to university orientation thingy anyway.

What school/major?

Ottawa seems kind of lame :( I've only been a couple times, but my most recent memory was Canada day 2 years ago, I managed to get parking 4-5 blocks away from parliament (wtf?) and everything EVERYTHING was closed after Sparks street (the pedestrian mall by parliament)
