I got about halfway through before ADD'ing.

I think it's a load of conjecture posing as science.

-Humans aren't the only creatures that dream.
-We have no way of knowing what other creatures dream about.
-Humans aren't the only creatures that masturbate.
-We have no way of knowing how much humans are able/needed/desire to masturbate with a level of nutrition and activity consistent with pre-modern living.
-The study presupposes natural anatomy is fully rational and adaptive which is not the case.

FACT: Humans masturbate because it feels really good when sex is not available.
