So, since joining <HP> I've been happy to not have to PuG things anymore (aside from the occasional VoA). It has been a welcome break (I used to pug all the time....)
Last night, I see people looking for one ranged DPS for RS10. I already have 25 down with my guild, and I don't even need any gear from 10...but I figured, what the hell...end of the week, I'll get the achievement, it's only 10, the fight itself is a joke...what could go wrong?
Oh boy....
Healers getting cleaved, people getting owned in phase 2 by cutters, people dropping consumptions right in the middle of the raid, tanks dying, more healers dying......
Needless to say, I left the PuG, angry and depressed after continual wipes.
I literally don't understand it. It's such an easy fight...everything in WoW is so damn easy....why are people so bad?
WoW is simple, is it not? Don't stand in bad stuff...move when you need to move, dispell/decurse when you need to....stop/start DPS when you need to...don't kill the raid, that's it, isn't it?
Look, I'm no Pohbear, I'm no Akiina, but goddamn it I at least know how to not die during fights and how not to blow up a raid. What is so difficult about it?
I propose a WoW aptitude test, every player should take this test...there could be a written portion, and then an obstacle course portion (where you'd have to demonstrate situational awareness, not stand in fires, etc...). Every player would be given a grade on this test, visible to the entire world via inspection. That way, if you are in fact, a fail bot, everyone could see that you have a huge F next to your toon before grouping with you and being subjected to your mouthbreathing ways.
